Jorja told Mani and I what she did – the truth she revealed to my parents – and I honestly couldn't be anymore pissed with her at the moment. I knew she didn't want us to leave, but the snap decision was too reckless. Even for her.

"Look," she said, "I solved a problem. Ya'll were leaving. What'd you expect me to do?"

"Do you not realize the danger you put us through?" Mani asked. "Especially D. The Volturi will kill anyone who knows about us."

"No, no, no...I didn't tell them about ya'll. Just me. I only said ya'll were different."

"Jorja," I said, "they're not just gonna let that go. You know them."

"Did you consider the physical pain you put D through? It'll be like stickin' a white hot branding iron down his throat. And that's assuming he can control his thirst."

"All I know is," Jorja said, "they've both been through hell wondering if ya'll were alright. And I know ya'll will be much happier with them in your lives."

"So you doing this had nothing to do with keeping him or Dinah here?"

"I mean she was a big reason why I did what I did, but I was also thinking of all of you. Plus, think how happy they'll be meeting their new grandson."

Mani and I looked at one another, that point sinking in.

"I would like little man to meet his other grandparents," I told her. "Despite what my mom says, they're excited to have grandkids to spoil."

Mani smiled beside herself.

"And they'll fall in love with him, quick," she agreed.

"So we're on board!" Jorja beamed. "Sweet! 'Cause they'll be here in ten minutes..."

"WHAT!?" Mani and I exclaimed.

Everybody was helpin' me prepare to see my parents after we told them the news.

I never realized how difficult it was pretending to be a human. Had to give Mani and her siblings their props for keepin' up that façade for so long.

"Alright," Bey said, carefully placing contact lenses in my eyes, "these will irritate your eyes, at first."

Once they were in, I definitely felt what she was talkin' about.

"Damn..." I uttered, blinking profusely at first, "...you not lyin'..."

She chuckled before steppin' back some.

"The main thing is to not move too fast," she said.

"Try takin' a seat," Kelly suggested. "Just like you usually would."

I went to take a seat. But because I still wasn't used to my supernatural side, I ended up movin' too fast and slammed into the seat.

After I steadied myself, I looked back to everybody, Mani and Vic tryin' their best not to bust out laughin'.
