Catching my breath, the darkness of the copy room starts freaking me out enough to just make a run for the elevator and head down to my office.

"no fucking way, no fucking way, no fucking way", I repeat to myself.

I lay back on my rolling chair and think about what today has brought upon me. I was accidentally naked in-front of my new boss this morning, then proceeded to make out with said boss, then later find out he's a guy I hooked up with eleven years ago while I was absolutely wasted and it's only 2:00pm. Im in some sort of freaky Friday thing with a female lead in a kdrama?

I sigh loudly. Should I really be this affected by this obviously crazy coincidence?

"What I'm I talking about? This doesn't bother me, I'm chill as a cucumber", I assure myself, out loud. As long as I tell myself I'm fine then I'm fine cause that's exactly how that works.

"Ms. Bae? Your two o clock is here ", a voice on my desk phone says.

Oh shit, I forgot. I'm a doctor, but at least he's my last one for the day.

"Right. Yes. Send them in."

The door opens and it's a man who's probably the best looking creature in this entire lifetime.

"Hi doctor!", he exclaims, showing off his cute boxy smile.

"Hello!", I look down at his chart I'm holding to make sure I have his name  correctly. "Alright, Mr. Taehyung, what brings you in today?"

He sits in thought on the chair across from me, almost as if he's trying to come up with something as to why he's here.

"What type of sunglasses were people into let's say maybe ten, eleven years ago?", he asks.

I can't tell if he's joking or not so I ask him repeat the question.

"Yeah. Like what was the vibe then? Like at bars and.. clubs.",

I don't think he's joking so I try to give him and honest, professional answer.

"Well, the 'Tory Burch' sales skyrocketed then-"

"New question", he says, cutting me off.

"What were clubs like eleven years ago? Well if you were even into clubbing".

I'm not sure what to say to that. "Um, does this have something to do with your prescription?", I ask him.

"Yeah totally."

I wait for him to explain how it does but he doesn't say a word, waiting on me to answer.

"Clubbing was fun.", I answer, awkwardly.

" I see.", he nods and stares at me, silently, sort of examining my face.

"Anyways, we're you looking to get an exam or.. anything?"

"Would you say you had any memorable nights? Maybe some more ACTION filled than others?"

I always try my hardest to make my patients feel as heard and understood as much as possible but I wasn't understanding where this conversation was going at all.

"I guess so.. well if there's anything else I could assist you with, you know, something glasses related, I'd love to hear it-

He stands up, and walks away mid sentence, and over to my family photos and degrees I have hanging on the wall to my right.

"Wow, you're pretty educated. Harvard.. pretty good", he arms crossed I front of him, occasionally taping in his chin in thought.

Is he examining my life now?
