"President Ki..Kim, what are you doing here?", I utter slowly.

He's dripping in sweat and his hair's all messed up. Did he run here?

"You did not sound like yourself when you called and you weren't answering any of my alerts so I'd thought..", he breathes.

He pats the sweat off his neck with his sleeve and sighs, "but I'm afraid I may have.. overreacted".

I look up at him.

"You thought I'd been hurt, Mr. Kim?", I ask, with no prior thinking.

He stares at me and doesn't say anything. I can see his ears turning pink and he's blinking more.

"Yes, I thought maybe something had happened", he says slowly.

I breath in and keep it in my chest to avoid my heart from beating any louder, and the butterflies in my stomach aren't helping either.

"But if you are alright, then I'll just be on my way-", he walks off mid sentence.

"Wait!"

Wait.? Why did I just tell him to wait?

"D.. did you maybe want something to drink before you leave? It's my fault you came all this way for nothing so I insist!"

He turns around, rubbing the back of his neck, "sure, that would be nice", he smiles.

I open my door wider for him to come in but he's suddenly shy and it's almost like he's hesitating to come in for some reason.

"Is everything alright.. sir?", I ask him quietly, trying not to sound panicked.

He stops at the frame of the door and looks at me again.

"It's really late, and I think you'd be a bit more comfortable without your boss coming in..", he admits, slowly looking away from me.

Im afraid he may think I'm uncomfortable with him around, I think I noticed it first earlier today when he apologized out of nowhere.

I can't help but give him a soft smile at his shyness "really, I insist."

It's gets quiet.

"Well I don't want to intr, so really I can go-"

I place my hand on his back and give him a big push into my apartment making him trip a little.

I shut the door and point him towards my bar stool chairs in my kitchen.

Him sitting there gives me major deja vu from an hour ago.

"I have water, tea, coffee if you'd like, but it's not a fancy one like you may be used to"

He smiles softly, "just the water is fine".

I grab the water bottle from my fridge and hand it to him but since I'm on a roll here,of course I grace my fingers with his.

"Oh, sorry", I say.

I look away since I'm not the best at handling things like this sober.

"Thank you", I hear him say in front of me.

"Yup".

Yup?

"So if you don't mind me asking, did you by any chance call me on accident?"

Here we go.

"Um, yeah.. well no. I meant to call you but I accidentally forgot what to say"

Not bad.

"Well then why not answer any messages?"

"Well I was trying to remember so.."

His serious face starts to shift into a small smile.

"Sir ! I was trying to remember what I had called you for," I correct myself, completely forgetting he's still my boss.

"Yeah, you just said that"

"Right."

It's gets awkwardly quiet again.

"Well, it's getting pretty cold in Seoul I really hope it's gets warmer soon-", I start before he cuts me off.

"Why did it take you so long to recognize me?"

Oh god.
