The reunion

I didn't sleep that must in the other night because I was too afraid
to close my eyes I don't know if I can trust that boy that we found
yesterday, he seems trustable but is something very strange in he's
eyes I don't know how to explain but is just my instinct is telling me
this. I don't know probably I'm just being paranoid with all of this.
-Dad? Can I talk to you for a minute please? - I asked my father,
whispering, because Bryan was still sleeping.
-Of course pumpkin!
-It's, probably, going to sound a little bit crazy but, I'm not quite
sure that we can trust that boy he seems a little bit...I don't
know....distance to me, maybe.
-You are over reacting I'm sure that's just your impression, and we
are not going to leave him all alone he's still to weak for that and
we don't know where is family is we don't even know if they're still
alive
-Ok, I'm not too convinced yet but I hope your right about this. I'm
going for a walk all be back in some minutes.
-Don't go too far way, ok and be carful
-Ok daddy, I will.
Near the house were some trees and what seemed to be some kind of a
park, so I went there and sit on some swings thinking in all of this,
suddenly I heard some noise coming from behind me, so I just went
strait back to the house. When I got there My father wasn't there, I
started to be a little worried but I found a note saying that he went
for a walk to see if he could found some food, I sat on one of the
couches seeing Bryan laying down on the other one still sleeping with
a flesh of sunlight covering his hair and part of his head. He was
cute I have to admit it but I couldn't stop having that felling that
maybe he wasn't as trustful as my father thought he was. After 10
minutes my father came back with a bottle of water and some cookies it
wasn't must but it was better than nothing, by then Bryan was already
awake.
We changed de his bandages and started walking; about an hour later we
found a really little town that seemed kind of abandoned, saw a little
café/gas station also abandoned so we got in slowly to see if it
wasn't there any walkers it seemed clear so we just closed the doors
and sat on the benches I went to the kitchen to see if there was some
food and I was looking for something in the storage and found what
seemed to be some sort of a secret door or something I stayed there
locking at the door trying to decide if I should open it or not and
eventually I gave up on my curiosity and open it my eyes almost came
out of my face, there was two little kids with like five or six years,
an older boy that locked like having my age and a couple that probably
where their parents.
-Hey it's ok! My name is spencer, it's ok you can come out there's
nothing no zombies just me, it's ok!
-Spencer?!!- A deep voice said with a little bit of surprised mixed
with incitement. That voice sounded really familiar to me.
-Ho my good Jack!!! It's that you? I can't believe it I'm so glad to see you!
-Yup! Let me present you my family, this two little devils are my
brother and sister Katherine and Thomas they are twins, and this is my
mom, Emilia, and my dad Joseph.
-It's nice to meet you.
Me and jack hugged on mere time and I tooked them to the front of the
café to present them to my father and to Bryan.
-Hey daddy look what I fund?!- I said with a little excitement on my
voice. My father stopped talking with Bryan and looked back, to see me
with jack and his family.
-Hi! I'm John nice to meet you. I'm so happy to see some living soul
around here.
-Hello, my name is Joseph, and this is my wife Emilia and my three
kids Katherine, Thomas and the oldest Jack. It's nice to meet you too,
when we heard the door open we thought that were more of those
disgusting monsters and we hide in the storage, behind some other door
that we found.
-How long have you been here?
-About two weeks maybe, I don't know. While they were talking I when
tot the roof top with Jack and his little sister and brother.
-So and are you doing ok? - I asked jack
-yes I guess. I mean we are currently living in the middle of an
apocalypse so...you know right?
-Yup, that sucks.-An awkward silence took over that situation but Jack broke it.
-So I bet that my father is going to ask you and your father and
brother to come with us. - Jack said with a little smile on his face,
showing some dimples on his left cheek.
-Ho, that boy is not my brother. No, we kind of fund him injured and
helped him, and now I guess he is coming with us, but I do have a
brother he's not here now but we are trying to find him. I said with a
little sadness in my voice, because I didn't know if my sweet little
brother is still alive, I hope he is.
-He's not here, and where is he, your real brother?
- He was (I paused...) IS really clever so he finished school first
that...well....everyone and went to South Kensington, work for some lab
there, and now me and my father are going to look for him.
-And what about your mother?-Jack asked me.
-You do a lot of questions you know? Hey let's go play with your
brother and sister.-I said while getting up, because honestly I didn't
want to talk about that topic not now not ever! Me and Jack were
playing hide and sheik with the little twins, when Jack asked me if he
could talk to me for a second.
- So spencer, I just want to apologize for asking for your mother I
saw that you were a little uncomfortable about it and I'm really
sorry.
-It's ok, you didn't know.
-Are we ok? - He asked me with some puppy's eyes. Ho my Goss he's irresistible.
- Of curse we are. - I said smiling, and it felt good smiling again.
- I'm so glad, spencer really, I was kind of afraid that we wouldn't
forgive me; you are different from some girls that I've met.
- And do you say that?
- I don't know you seem a little mysterious and I kind of like it, and
the way you look at people is just.
-And how do I look at people? - I asked, starting to blush a little.
- With kindness I guess, but you also have something else like a
secret, I can see it in your eyes or just something in your past that
it's just messed up, I'm I right?
- I don't know I guess you will have to find out yourself. - I said
with a little smile, that was kind of big, because I was blushing a
lot and I was trying to hide the fear of him find out something about
my past, he couldn't.-Are you always so this strait to people?- I
asked him trying to skip the point.
- Sometimes. When they are worth it. - He said with a really big smile
on his face. His he saying that I'm
worth it?
-What do you mean by worth it?
-Well...when they seem true or trustable people and in your case when
they are pretty. - I just smile at him, still blushing a lot. I can't
believe that he is flirting with me hoo my gosh!
We just stood there in silence but this time it was different it felt
really good, we were there watching the sunset, when we heard some
noise down stairs.in the café. I got up and started running downstairs
wile jack stayed in the roof top with his brother and sister just in
case it were zombies in side.
When I got there my father was trying to find things to put on the
door to stop the walkers from coming in wile jack's mom and dad were
fighting with some zombies that were able to enter the café, I started
looking around trying to find Bryan but there was no sign of him
there. That kid is just a coward I thought to myself. I quickly
snapped out of my thoughts and went to help jack's mom that was being
attacked by some zombies, I cut of their heads and oddly it feel
really good, I continue to kill the zombies that were in side that
café along with Joseph and his wife, after about 30 minutes we were
able to clean the café and we managed to look all the doors and
windows so the zombies wouldn't come in, but there was still no sign
of Bryan there.
