After that horrible episode yesterday we had to be extra careful with
things, my father was a little worried because we still don't know
where Bryan is and we can't go look for him outside because it's just
dangerous because of the zombies it seems that they are increasing so
fast there are so many outside, it's just too dangerous to go outside.
-Hi! How are you doing? - I hear a sweet voice coming from behind me.
I turn around to see jack's mom, she is really beautiful, she has
light blond hair, big blue eyes just like jack and she is really sweet
and kind with all of us.
-Yes...no...Yes. I don't know. - I said with a said voice, it was true
I didn't know how I was - I mean my father barely talks to me since
Bryan disappeared and I don't even know why, and to make things even
worse we are in the middle of a freaking apocalypse so no I definitely
not fine at all, I'm a mess! I said with tears running down my face -
I know that my father told to be strong but this is just too must and
I'm only 16 years old I should been in the middle of the mall with my
friends laughing, but instead they are all dead or zombies and I sting
I don't take a bath for what seems like ages and I'm sick of all of
this!! - I just got up and went to the roof top I needed to be alone
for some time and just think.
I was looking at the horizon just thinking and seeing the stupid
walkers eating each other's, I got up and went down stairs I pick up
my bag and came back to the roof, I opened my bag and I had some
pictures of me and my family and of my friends I was looking at them
when I heard some noise I turned around with my knife pointed and it
was just Jack.
-Hey take it easy, it's just me. - He said with a smooth voice.
-What do you want Jack?-I asked him, I wasn't in the mood of talking to someone.
-I just want to talk to you. - He said with a really sweet voice.
-I don't really want to talk right know! - I said still angry. He got
up and gave me his hand.
- Ok, if you don't want to talk that's fine, but you will have to
listen to me. Ok... Listen. I heard you talking to my mom. - I looked at
him my eyes were still puffy from crying. - I had another brother he
was older than Me my parents and my little brother went for a walk
around the neighborhood when we saw some kinds acting all weird and we
just thought that they were playing around so we just ignored them but
then they started to coming after us and we just started running when
we got home we found my brother on the floor covered in blood and then
I went upstairs to pick up my sister and I saw a zombie almost eating
her so I just grab a lamp and hit it with it and then a grabbed my
sister and went downstairs. - He paused a little bit...
-Jack? Why are you telling me this? - I asked him looking at him
confused, and I saw that he had tears building up on his eyes.
-Because I want to tell you that I understand you, I've lost someone
in the middle of this entire thing and you don't need to strong, you
have the right to be afraid, you can have a break down, but don't
forget that I'm here for you no matter what! I'm here for you, because
I understand you, ok?
-Ok! Come with me I want to show you something! - He said yes and we
both got up, we got out of the café/gas station, without being seen
and we just walked to the woods that were nearby. In the woods there
were almost no zombies because there was nothing for them to eat no
more animals, like rabbits, because the walkers ate them all and that
is really sad. After a long walk and a lot of talking me and Jack saw
something really weird, we heard talking, it was weird because we were
in the middle of the woods the only thing that were was trees and
birds nothing else. We got a little closer so we could hear what they
were saying.
-The organization said that we need to make some progresses, or we
will have consequences. - A deep voice said, we weren't able to see
their faces.
- I'm trying but is a little difficult she doesn't trust me at all I
don't know why!
- We don't care you need to make some move and try to talk to her and
gain her confidence, and you have a lot of work to do.
- Ok I'm going to try but it won't be easy!
- Once again we want the job done we don't care how you do it!
- They are coming! Hurry up, run! - I said to Jack. We started running
like crazies and we stopped near a really cute lake that was what I
wanted to show to Jack.
-Wait! Come here first! It's a surprise for us! - I said sounding
really excited, too much actually.
- Ok, OK, you don't need to yell, Kip it quiet or the walkers will
hear us. - He said worried, is so cute when he is worried I thought to
myself. I told him to wait and to close his eyes, He did and I guided
him to the little lake it had a little waterfall nearby and it was
quite beautiful, the water was really clean it locked like one of
those that you see in movies, good I missed watching television and
movie and dance and hear music I missed all of this but I missed a lot
my mom I just want to hug her so tight and just stay like that
forever, I snapped out of my thoughts with Jack almost screaming my
name.
- SPENCER! Can I open my eyes now?!
- Yes, on three. One, two, three, here you go. I took of my hand and
he opened his eyes. He was speechless, his eyes were glowing like
crazy, and he took a few minutes to take a really look at the place
and I don't want to brag about it but it was a fantastic discover,
just thinking...
- This is amazing Hi don't know what to say. - He said still amazed.
- Then don't say anything, just swim. - I said and jumped to the lake,
just enjoying every second. - What you are not coming?
- I don't know how to swim. - He said really fast and in a really low voice.
- What! You don't know how to swim? Really?
- Yes, you can laugh go ahead laugh!!!!!- He said almost screaming and
he locked upset. I got out of the lake and hugged him.
- I'm not going to make fun of you, it's a normal thing, and c'mon
I'll teach you I'm a great teacher.
- Ho! Are you? - He said smirking. I looked at him with an "are you
kindling?" face, and he just started laughing, he took of his t-shirt
and sneakers and jumped into the water with me, we just stayed there
playing around, after about two hours we got back to the Café/ gas
station, when got there everybody was just sitting on the benches
expecting us, ho s**** I thought to myself we are screwed...
- Were the hell have you been! - My father started healing at me
really loud, while jack's father went to the kitchen to talk to him.
- We went for a walk/ swim, we are fine! You don't need to be that worried!
- Do you have any idea of the danger that is outside! You can't just
go out like without telling anyone we need to know, I need to know
where are. - I just started smiling of the irony of this situation. -
Do you think this is funny?! - My father asked me pretty annoyed.
- Actually I do! Before this whole thing how many times you asked me
where or with who I was going out? How many times you asked how was my
day, and by the way they always sucked and now because of some
disgusting monsters that are chasing us you apparently care about me?!
- You know that, that is not true, I've always cared about you and
your mom and your brother?!
- Ho! Did you, then why did you make Connor (my brother) go to college
earlier and why did you made him get a job in some random Lab? And on
top of all of this we don't even know if he is dead or alive or if he
is a stupid zombie only because you made him go to work out side of
the city you sent him away from us, you sent him away from me, my
sweet little brother! - I had tears running through my face I locked
up and I had everyone locking at me, I tour way locked at my father
and just started running back to the woods.
