LEXINGTON

"Your existence gives me a headache. Go stand over there." Lincoln shoves Nate away from him as I walk into the kitchen, going straight for the alcohol since my body has been buzzing with something I'm not quite sure of since I dropped Tilly off last night.

She relaxed more on the way back, considering I stopped my crude words. It was hard to keep them in, and it left me wondering why? I've never spoken like that a day in my life or thought of anything in that manner. Shocking, I know.

Leaning against the counter with a bottle of whiskey in my hand, I'm contemplating wither to indulge it. I'm not a big drinker. There are a few sips here and there, but I'm not the type to enjoy it. I like being sober and aware of what's going on around me.

"Lexi pooh, save me from your mean mean, brother." Nate hides behind me and uses me as a human shield, and I move to the side just as Lincoln throws the nearest object at him, which is an apple out the fruit bowl sitting in front of him.

Nate shoves me, trying to dodge it, but he ends up hitting my arm, causing the bottle to fall and shatter.

"Now look what you made me do, Linky."

"Oh shut it, you fuckface. You had to bring up the fight after I told you I didn't want to talk about it, but no. In Nate fashion, you had to keep on and on." Link shoves his hand down his face. I know he's pissed I stepped in the ring last night, but I'm not going to apologize for it. Link knows not to question why I do shit. All my brothers do, even my cousin Lance, who is like a brother to me, knows not to stop me when I set my mind to do something.

I wasn't going to show last night, but Lance convinced me. My days in the ring are over. I used fighting as a way to escape, to let out the chaos, but as always, it got boring. The fights didn't last long, so the peace didn't.

"You're just pissed Lexi got to kick Haydens ass and you didn't." Nate scoffs and picks up the apple and bites into it.

"Fuck off." Link gets up and leaves the kitchen but the slamming of the back door tells me he also left the mansion.

Pissy fucker.

"Don't worry, Linky will come crawling back to me in no time." Nate winks.

"Why was he so pissed anyway?"

Nate shrugs, swallowing before he speaks, "You heard what Hayden told him. He doesn't tread lightly with threats, especially one about the good twin."

So Hayden didn't just say her name. He said Anastasias, too. "Tell me, Nathaniel, what were his exact words?"

He pauses, "He told Linky, "I've already had a go at one twin might as well get one with the other, and I could turn it into a threesome with the Burnette friend of hers." The fucker must have a death wish." He shakes his head, taking another bite into the apple.

Yes that fucker does have a wish with death. Sadly for him, he will finally meet his maker. They don't call me the reaper in the ring for nothing, and I'll gladly introduce Hayden Bird to him. Soon.

"Does Link have a thing for the girl?" I ask, changing the subject so Nate won't pick up on my thoughts since he's good at reading me even with my mask in place.

"I don't know, man. He's been canceling plans with me for the past two weekends, and when she's around, he's more quiet than usual, and that's saying something." Hmm, interesting. "What did he tell you?"

"He made a deal."

"What deal?"

"If I won, he'd pay me ten grand."
