Tilly

"Holt shit balls."

I lift my head at Amelia's voice. We're at the football field again, much to Amelias displeasure. The plan was to eat, chit-chat, and avoid all things Ledger boys related, but Amelia here is playing peek a boo behind her Raybans at the field, and every now and then, a pink tint coats her cheeks.

Students buzz around us, some are getting a fill of the football players in their gear, and some are watching the cheer leaders dressed in short shorts and tiny tank tops with pom poms that are every color of the rainbow.

Amelia, Ana, and I are the only ones who aren't currently falling over them. Or at least I think so.

I eat my sandwich with one hand while my other is holding my Kindle as I try and get through another chapter, but I keep falling short. My mind hasn't been in the right space for me to finish a page. Not since last week when I let Lexington between my legs.

I shake my head, ridding the thoughts of him. I thought we could maybe I don't know talk? Be friends? I texted him a couple of times a few days after that night, but he left me on read. What a dick.

If he thinks he can break into my apartment and give me an amazing orgasm and forget me the next day, he's oddly mistaken. Tilly Carson doesn't wait on no man. Not even if it's the man who looks like he can be a Greek God with a sinful tongue. Nope, no.

Amelia digs through the McDonald's bag and pulls out a large fry. Usually, she'd just get the fries, but the past week, she's been stress eating. Her words.

She finishes chewing on a fry and shoves her phone into my face, and I grab it.

It's Hayden Birds' IG profile, and I notice it says 'follow back.' He's got pictures of what looks like Greek goddesses and Hades with quotes as the captions. Some with his little brother Adam and step sister Percy. The only reason I know them is because Lance's little cousin Arthur, who goes by Kaden, is Adam's friend.

"He only follows ten people, and I'm one of them." She squeals and takes her phone back, "You think I should follow him back?"

I glance at the field and see Leighton staring up at us, and I remember what Evangeline said about Hayden and Leightons past. I really shouldn't get into it, but he hurt my best friend.

I smirk, my eyes not straying from his, I tell her, "Yeah, go for it." As if he knows we're up to no good, he shakes his head, frowning as he walks off the field.

"Does Leighton have one?" I ask, and she stops mid chew and shakes her head.

"No, none." She sighs, "he did have a snap chat, and I made an incognito one and added him since he had mine blocked, and he was with Malibu fucking Barbie. He deleted it after they broke up."

Ana, who's been quite pipes in the conversation, "He's never been big on social media."

I nod, "Yeah, Lexington and Lincoln have an IG, but other than that, they don't have shit else." The only reason I know that is because they both follow me. Have for years, I just don't post much on it. As a matter of fact, the last time I posted was maybe last year during Christmas.

"When was this snap chat incident?"

Mills looks at Ana and then me, "Two years ago, maybe? I didn't even know he was dating. Let alone someone like her."

"Everyone knew they were dating?" Ana says, confused.

"Not me. At least I didn't want to believe he'd date. I had these glasses on that made me oblivious to all things Leighton, and until recently, I've taken them off, and I'm ashamed that I even held out hope."
