Silver could see a look in Bloodmoon's eyes as he wrapped bandages around Silver's wings, he looked scared, this was the second time Bloodmoon had replaced Silver's bandages today. Silver looked Bloodmoon in eyes and said, "Bloodmoon are you ok?" Bloodmoon quickly stood up stiffly and said, "Y-Yeah! Why wouldn't I be!"
Silver saw the uncertain look Bloodmoon seemed to be trying to hide, "Bloodmoon, you can tell me anything." Bloodmoon nodded and said, "I... I know... B-but it's really nothing, probably just my mind playing tricks on me earlier." Silver saw a slight paranoid look in Bloodmoon's eyes.
Silver then remembered how Bloodmoon went to see if anyone needed help, perhaps he saw something there, so Silver then said, "Did you see something at the talons of magic's destroyed base?" Bloodmoon seemed to hesitate before nodding and saying, "Yeah... I saw something that.... Frightened me a bit..." Silver put his wing around Bloodmoon trying to calm him down.
Bloodmoon calmed down slightly and said, "Thank you, Silver." Silver smiled and said, "No problem, my brilliant lunar eclipse." Bloodmoon blushed and said, "Oh, you already have a pet name for me... Well... Um... I love you, my little... Um... Shining Silver... I'm terrible at this..." Silver laughed a bit and said, "Hey, that was pretty good for your first time."
Bloodmoon smiled and said, "Thanks Silver... I should probably get some sleep, I haven't slept much." Silver smiled pressing his snout against Bloodmoon's face and saying, "Good, cause I was gonna tell you to sleep anyways, I'll make sure to get you a goat for when you wake up." Bloodmoon slowly walked to his bed and quickly made some tea to help him get to sleep.
Eventually Bloodmoon fell asleep, as he did Snowstar and Destiny returned from their hunting, "Hey Destiny, Snowstar, how was hunting?" Silver asked, Snowstar was quick to reply, "It was good, although it's been quite around the area where Snake was... It's.... Strange." Destiny nodded and said, "Yeah, it almost seemed like nothing was there, not even the sounds of smaller creatures was heard, it was just... Silent."
Silver was concerned by this and said, "We better go check it out, something bad could have happened." They were all about to leave but Snowstar then said, "Wait, I should stay behind, I'm probably the strongest of us three so I'll protect Bloodmoon until you two return." Destiny nodded in agreement, Silver hesitated and said, "Ok, but make sure he's safe and try not to wake him, he really needs sleep."
As Destiny and Silver flew off toward the silent part of the forest, Silver could feel the life being drained from the forest, a deer skeleton lay nearby, it looked to have been picked clean less then a few seconds ago. Destiny looked at it with slight disgust covering her nose and saying, "Whatever did this is sickeningly sweet... It reminds me of something..."
Silver covered his nose and said, "What does it remind you of?" Destiny then said, "A old legend that me and my sister were terrified of, the rainwings call it the Rottens, the nightwings call them Falsewings or Deadwings." Silver tilted his head in curiosity and said, "What did they do?" Destiny winced slightly and said, "Legends state that they would slaughter and wear the scales of other dragons or at least that's what the nightwings say they do, Rainwings think they are the spirits of the dead looking for their body, feeding off any flesh they can find."
Silver realized something, "Oh! That sounds like something my Mother told me when I was young, although she called them Mocking Wings and she said they were not dragons nor undead but simply monsters that want to destroy everything, I was terrified of them but my mom and dad reassured me that they weren't real." Destiny looked over at the bones of the dear and said, "Well, I suppose we're going to find out..."
