"How busy are you?" Dan's voice floated through my bedroom. I finished the current piece I was editing and turned to him.

"I'm editing a video. I wanted to get it posted tonight," Dan seemed to pout at that. I wanted to be annoyed, but my curiosity got the better of me. Plus, I always hated to disappoint him. I sighed, "but I guess not it's not urgent. Why?"

"Yes!" He grinned, quickly moving onto my bed with his laptop. He splayed it out in front of him and stared intently at the screen. His urgency made me wonder if he knew I would say yes. "I need to post something on Instagram. Tonight."

"Why tonight?" I frowned.

"I got on email from my publicist, she says that I should post tonight for engagement, so I need your help."

"When did she send you that email?" I scoffed. "That's a crazy request for one day."

"Well, she sent it two weeks ago, so."

"Dan," I tilted my head, disappointed at his lack of planning that now disrupted my night. I guess my previous thinking was a one way street.

"I know! I know, I should have done it ages ago, but I didn't know what to post! I was waiting until we did something but we did nothing but sit around like always!" He threw his hands in the air.

"We could have done something if you needed photos," I pointed out.

"Like what?" He twisted his nose at the idea.

"I don't know, that's not the point," I rolled my eyes. I wasn't going to let him pin this on me.

"Anyways, like I said, we didn't do much, so I had no idea what to do."

"So you need help coming up with ideas?"

"Nope! Fortunately, the internet has many blogs listing things you can post to boost your engagement!" He spun his computer towards me as his contagious grin spread. I couldn't help but laugh as I rolled my eyes again. No way Dan was on a random blog looking up Instagram post ideas. "As you can see most of these ideas suck- I don't really post memes so that will mess up my timeline aesthetic, I don't have a product to promote, I have nothing to announce, and inspirational quotes? Cringy."

"So what did you end up choosing?" I waited for Dan's long explanation to finally come to the thing he needed me for.

"A thirst trap."

I almost thought my ears were playing tricks on me. Dan was so anti-socialmedia, he never showed the internet anything too personal. The idea of him posting something where he was half naked threw me for a loop. "A thirst trap?" I asked for clearance anyways, though I was sure I hadn't misheard him.

"Yup! I think everyone will find it surprising as fuck. Plus, I think it's the perfect line between funny plus ironic, and serious while sensual." He wasn't exactly wrong, but still I wondered where my part was.

"What do you need me for?"

"Can you take the photos?" Dan's hands clasped together politely. "Please, please, please. As my best friend? I already have the outfit I want and my poses I just need someone to take them."
