"Shut up." My Dad says.

"Tell me what? Dad, you're dating someone? That's great. Who is she?"

"We'll talk about that later."

The way he's looking at me leads me to believe he's hiding something.

"Why can't we talk about her now?" I push.

"Because she isn't here yet."

"She's coming?"

My Dad nods and Jimin laughs muttering.

"This is going to be interesting."

I look at the both of them wondering what could be interesting about the woman my dad is dating apart from the fact that she exists.

"I'm surprised Chanyeol isn't with you."

My Dad says attempting to change the subject. My stomach churned.

"I'm going to get a beer. Anybody want one?"

I'm scooping food on to my plate when I spot a figure at the corner of my eye. My heart knocking against my chest leads me to the realization that it's Mino.

"Why are you following me?" I ask.

"I'm not following you. I'm trying to talk to you."

"What, no Somi around to pick up my slack? Did she get tired of your antics and kick you to the curb too?"

"Ancient history. Besides, you know we were never together."

"She was important enough to keep you and I from being together."

"I was young and dumb."

My phone ringing in my pocket startled me. I sigh in relief.

"Looks like it's my girlfriend."

"I thought you were married?"

Pressing the answer key, I turn towards my bedroom making sure to lock the door behind me.

"Save me." I plead humorously.

"That bad?"

"No, I'm just being a baby and I miss you."

"I miss you."

Someone scored a touchdown causing everyone in the living room to shout praises that rang throughout the entire house.

"Are you at a party?"

"My Dad invites family and friends over every Sunday to eat barbecue and watch sports. From the cheering I'm guessing this Sunday is football."

"I wish I were with you."

"You really don't want to be here. My dad asked about Chanyeol and I ran. My ex is also here. Not really an ex because he cheated before anything happened. His uncle and my dad are friends which is why he's here."

Silence.

"Please don't be upset."

"I'm not."

"Say it like you mean."

"I'm not upset. I trust you."

"Good because nothing will ever happen between him and 1."

Then there it was again a few good seconds of silence before she spoke.

"Are you ashamed of me?"

"No! There's nothing about you that would bring anyone shame. Why would you ask me that baby? We've talked about this."
