"Girl this man a certified freak!"

Chapter 10

They flew through clouds of smoke and darkness as they entered the Shadow Realm. Wesley and Preston directed their dragons to one of the castle ledges dropping the royals off.

"Are you guys okay to go from here?" Wesley asks them.

Trayton nods. "This should be fine. We can make our way inside from here."

Wesley pats his dragon. "We can wait out here to make sure you guys make it out and then we'll take you back across the sea."

They thank Preston and Wesley as they turn around searching for an entrance into the castle.

Dylan turns to his friends. "Should we wait for Diego and Isaac?"

Trayton adjusts his glasses and secures the map in his suit pocket. "No time. They'll find their way. We need to save Princess Brecklyn." Charitee and Angelo nod in agreement.

They finally reach a doorway. Trayton peers in seeing dark knights guarding the halls.

He shakes his head. "We'll never get past those guys." Just then, Dylan leans against the stone wall falling into it as it opens up as a secret doorway. He falls into a candlelit room Trayton, Charitee, and Angelo follow in behind him. The door closes as they all look up to find the life-size portrait of Princess Brecklyn and the dedicated shrine of her throughout the room.

Charitee looks around in shock. "Oh... my... god..."

Before anyone can respond they hear footsteps and voices outside of the room. They panic hiding behind velvet curtains. The hooded man enters the room standing before the painting. He takes off his hood unknowingly revealing his identity.

Charitee's eyes widen. "That's him!"

Trayton shushes her as they all continue to watch.

Connor pulls out a Ruby necklace that he places before the portrait. "Once I place this jewel around your neck you will have no choice but to fall deeply and madly in love with me. I know you love me princess, but I need you to believe it. This spell will help with that." Connor extends his arms, leans his head back, and begins chanting in tongues. The necklace gets brighter and brighter until it glows radiantly throughout the room. He picks up the necklace and raises it into the air. "Together princess. We will rule the realm!"

Connor places the necklace back in his pocket and leaves the room.

Trayton, Charitee, Angelo, and Dylan race out from behind the velvet curtains.

"We have to find her! He's gonna cast a spell on Breck and make her think she's in love with him!" Charitee cries.

"Girl this man a certified freak! It's giving Joe Goldberg, it's giving Dahmer, it's giving Bundy, I ain't with it!" Angelo exclaims.

"Well, I guess if she wears that necklace it wouldn't be so bad cause then at least she'd like him." Dylan points out.

"Dylan!" Charitee exclaims.

Trayton reaches out. "Everyone, calm down. Trust me no one is more upset about this than I am. But we have to come up with a plan to stop him before it's too late."

They all pause desperately trying to come up with something when Charitee sparks an idea.

"Wait we still have Ogre Dan's ear wax. What if we use some of it to distract the guard knights so we can get past them?"

Trayton looks back. "Yeah, but we don't even know exactly what it does?"

Dylan reaches into his satchel. "Dangerous and poisonous so it's gotta do something."

They all nod peering through the door at the dark knights.

"Okay, where do I throw it? At a knight?" Dylan questions as he gets ready to aim the wax.

"Oh my god bro, just through that shit! Who cares? We gotta go!" Angelo yells in a hushed tone, rushing his brother.

Dylan panics throwing a wad of Ogre Dan's ear wax into the hall. It hits the ground silently. The knights all cautiously look at it slowly leaning in.

Charitee looks at Dylan and Angelo confused. "Guys it's not doing anything?"

One of the knights appoints the other knight to go look at it. The knight walks over slowly reaching out with his sword to poke it. The ear wax explodes into fiery flames blowing up the entire hall and the dark knights in it. The Royals stare in shock as Trayton grabs them all racing through the smoke and debris.
