Ending Shorts (Part 2)

Hi all!! As promised, these are some scenes that I had previously drafted and wanted to include for the rest of the story, but it obviously didn't happen. So, I'm just posting a compilation of these shorts for you all to enjoy!! Think of this like a teaser, all scenes are chronological, but there was supposed to be actual chapters in between them to fill up the time. Hope you enjoy!

Short 1:

Shrishmeer's Engagement

It was the night of Shrishti and Sameer's engagement, guests were entering the venue and Preeta and Rahul were at the entrance, welcoming the guests. Luthra family walked in, with Ansh by their side. 

Karan: (smirks) Namaste Babydoll...

Preeta: (rolls her eyes) Namaste Bajarbattu!

Karan: (makes crybaby face) Yaar kya naainsaafi hai yeh! Matlab maine itna cute nickname diya hai tumko aur tum ho ki Bajarbattu, Karela karti rehti ho!

Preeta: (laughs) Toh tum ho Karele toh wohi bulaungi naa

Karan: Kuch achha sa... sexy sa nickname dena chahiye... (smirks) Karan babes or something like that

Preeta blushes and Rakhi pulls Karan's ear

Rakhi: Kyu bichaari ko sata rha hai? Kitni pyaari aur maasoom hai meri honewaali bahu, usse sataana mat!

Ansh: (laughs) Maasoom aur Pree? Kabhi nhi aunty

Preeta glares Ansh while he and Karan laugh silently.

Mahesh: (sees Rahul) Arre Rahul beta kaisa hai tu? Bohot dino ke baad tujhse baat ho rhi hai

Rahul: (to Rakhi and Mahesh) Namaste Uncle, Aunty! Bohot achha laga aapse milke, aap please andar aayiye kuch snacks aur drinks rakhe hai apke liye

Rakhi and Mahesh leave, and Divya enters behind Karan and Ansh. Rahul caught a glimpse of her and is immediately breathless at how stunning she looked. He gazed over her, their eyes meeting as she gave him a smile.

Divya: (smiles awkwardly) Kya hua? Aise kyu dekh rha ho mujhe?

Rahul: (stammers) Uh... kabhi kabhi... tumhare chehre se nazar nhi hatti

Divya: (confused) Kyu? Mai... chudail lagti hoon?

Rahul: (laughs) Nhi nhi... woh.. achhi lag rhi ho aaj... (nervously) I mean... achhe kapde hai... inn kapdon mai tum achhi... I mean (looks at her) tum achhi lag rhi ho...

Divya smiles slightly looking at Rahul surprised at his compliment. Karan and Ansh snicker together watching to two interact while Preeta slaps them both on their shoulders, asking them to shut up.

Rahul: (realizes) Jyada bhav mat khana okay... Mera matlab hai ki kapde achhe hai... kapdo mai tum... tum achhi lag rhi ho-

Divya: (smiles) Samajh gayi

Rahul: (awkwardly) Woh mai... abhi aaya

Rahul tries to move past Divya but accidentally trips and almost falls when Divya catches him by his shoulders. They share a long eyelock before he comes back to his senses, smiling at her and walking away. Divya stands there thinking about her interactions with Rahul.

Divya: (to the others) Tumhe nhi lagta ki... Rahul aaj kal kuch ajeeb behave kar rha hai?

Ansh: (laughs) Arre mere saale saab ajeeb hi hai

Preeta: (slaps Ansh playfully) Chup kar! Divs... mujhe toh lag rha hai ki Rahul ko naa... Kuch kuch hota hai wali feelings aa rhi hai

Divya: (confused) Kuch kuch hota hai matlab?
