- 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 -

{ season two: episode two }

*the next morning*

As Aria begins to slightly open her eyes, she stares at the bedside table that sits infront of her. She turns around to see if Elena's awake and notices that she isn't there. Maybe she's just in the bathroom Aria thinks to herself as she sits up on the bed and goes onto her phone as she waits for Elena. Aria looks at her phone to see that she has 5 missed calls from Damon, 3 missed calls from Stefan and 6 missed calls from Klaus. Damn it, she says silently to herself as she calls Stefan back.

He picks up, 'Aria? Are you alright? We've been trying to call you for hours' he says, sounding worried and scared.

'Yeah.. I'm fine. What do you want Stefan?' Aria spits down the phone at him.

'Look, I don't know what happened last night but you need to get yourself over here right now. Klaus has taken Elena and he's going to use her in some silly sacrifice so he can break the curse that his mother put on him just over 1000 years ago. The curse keeps his werewolf side secure, so if he breaks the curse..' He pauses before speaking again, 'Then he can turn himself into the first male hybrid to ever exist'.

As Stefan finishes his sentence, Aria can't help but just sit in silence for a few minutes. What if Ester put the same curse onto her? What if she turns into a werewolf/vampire hybrid thingy? The thought echoes in Aria's mind as she completely zones out and she couldn't even hear anything that Stefan was saying to her.

'I'll be over in 10' Aria replies, as she quickly hangs up the phone to get dressed.

Aria arrives at the Salvatore house and lets herself in. The first thing she sees is Stefan sitting on the sofa with his head in his hands as he immediately gets up looking startled when Aria closes the door behind her. Then, she looks over to Damon who's sitting in the armchair, a glass of bourbon in his hand as he drinks the last final swirls that were left in his glass.

'So, what's the plan? How do we help Elena?' Aria asks, as the two just stare at her as if they have no clue what to do about this situation.

'Well the thing is.. He pauses, 'Klaus also has Jenna, which is Elena's aunt. He's planning to turn her into a vampire just so he could use her in the sacrifice. But I'm going to make him a deal to swap Jenna for me' he replies, looking sort of gloomy but he seems to stand by his decision.

'So, you're just going to hand your life over to my brother? Seriously? I mean, I know he's my brother but you shouldn't have to do that Stefan. I'm not saying Elena or Jenna should die either, but cmon. You've been one of my best friends since I moved back here. You, Elena.. Aria pauses as she debates whether to say Damon's name or not after the events of last night, 'And even Damon' she adds, as she notices Damon's head shooting up at the mention of his name.
