[Author's POV]
Deep into the night, no one could hear the faint swift padding of paws hitting the window stills. They moved swiftly through the air, jumping skillfully from one apartment building from another, avoiding pots filled with plants with ease. That was until they reached their destination, a milk cafe, when audible noises were made.
"Finally! We reached the jackpot!" A soft, bubbly voice breezed through the air. "Keep it down, Chim! There's a pack of drools just below us!" A deeper, more huskier tone hissed.
"If you hadn't been so slow, we would've reached here before they got here!" Jimin snarled back.
"Stop fighting!" Another soft yet angelic voice snapped. "We gotta figure out how to get in."
With a few more hisses, and one scratch, the three cat hybrids were able to get inside the cafe through the roof entrance, or more like the vent system. Crawling in it was easy. though annoyed hisses kept escaping Yoongi's pretty mouth. However, their arguing soon came to a stop once they realized they were over the kitchen, where the sweet scent of milk drifted into their strong noses.
"Quit your couple bickering! We're over–" Screams tumbled out of their mouths as the vent under them couldn't hold their weight anymore and it broke open, sending them crashing into the kitchen. Pained groans left their lips but fortunately, no other loud sound was made.
"Way to sneak in undetected," Yoongi grumbled darkly, rubbing his head. Jimin growled softly, the sound vibrating from his chest.
"Shut up and put your scarastic butt to use. We don't have enough time to look around, we have to get as much milk as we can before someone smells us."
"Chim's right, hurry your lazy asses." Jungkook ordered, his white cat tail twitching anxiously behind him as he quickly stood up and began to sniff the air, opening the fridges that held ice cold bottles filled with milk.
Why were they stealing milk when there was plenty of it on their side of town? Living in a beautiful, wide cultured town of all cat hybrids located near the waters of Hobart, Australia, milk cafes were everywhere as cat hybrids enjoyed dulging in everything related to milk. However, something about stealing milk from territory they were not supposed to be on, made the taste of the milk much sweeter, much more...delectable.
And being on marked territory claimed by the Dogs, was a punishment waiting to happen. Dogs and Cats hybrids have always hated each other, it was like something in their blood. Dog hybrids loved chasing Cats, teasing them and degrading them as little mouth suckers and weak offerings that they could chew up only in a matter of seconds.
Cats hated the way they were treated by annoying, prideful hybrids, so it was not uncommon to see cats fighting back; or hiding away to save their tail from being torn apart by Dog hybrids' vicious teeth. Their rivalry with each other made them split into different sections in Hobart, each having their own land on the other side of the river. Crossing or going onto other's land was death in the waiting.
Yet, there were some, not many, that liked being dangerous and threw caution out of the window. Curiosity was like a trait grown into cats, they couldn't resist lightly touching a paw into something unknown. Hence, that's what led to now, three cat hybrids eager for a dangerous adventure, which meant crossing the old, hidden bridge to steal milk from the dog territory.
Jungkook swiftly grabbed as many bottles as he could, popping one open so he could sip on the delicious silky substance, gasping lightly in delight when it ran smoothly down the inside of his throat. "This tastes so good," Jungkook purred, licking his cherry colored lips.
