[Time passed, Jungkook's POV]
Waking up besides Taehyung was probably one of the greatest things to experience. The way the sun basked gently on his face, making his warm tanned skin glitter; his soft looking lips releasing tiny exhales, god, Taehyung was gorgeous and I had him all to myself.
I purred sleepily, snuggling closer to his chest, rubbing my nose on his warm chin, basking in his fresh, comforting scent.
The more I awoke though, the more my heart dropped.
This was my last day with Taehyung, tomorrow I will go back to my home and see my hyungs. Although I was excited to see my hyungs, my whole heart ached. I was leaving behind the one person who loves me despite my flaws. If anything these past two weeks have shown Taehyung is so...genuine, kind, sweet, firm and loving. He's made me laugh countless times, taught me good lessons and was there to comfort me when fear or anxiety gripped its hold on me.
I didn't want to leave, but I knew I had to. It wasn't safe for me here, and I kept Taehyung cooped up here too much. Our bubble of happiness and comfort couldn't last forever, and that terrified me because then what next? I wouldn't be able to do something like this for another few months. Sooner or later my hyungs will find out and probably disown me for lying for so long —
I didn't even notice I was crying until I noticed how damp my pillow was getting. I quickly tried to shut my sobs up, but my wiggling awoke my mate who opened his beautiful blue eyes sleepily.
"Baby...? Are...are you crying??" Taehyung's eyes widened, his sleepiness immediately disappearing as my sobs broke free. "What's wrong??"
My mouth trembled, whining as I tried to explain, but I could only muster more sobs of distress.
"Oh, Jungkook..." Taehyung quickly shushed me, cradling my head ever so gently as he pressed soft, slow kisses on my forehead. My sobs lessened as his loving kisses calmed my anxious mind; Taehyung nuzzled my chin, spreading his scent onto me, which instantly made me purr contently.
Once I calmed down, thanks to the warm kisses on my forehead, Taehyung spoke again. "What's bothering you, Jungkook?"
I sighed, tightening my arms around him as my long tail lazily curled around Taehyung's leg. "I just...don't want to leave. I had so much fun with you here, Tae. I-I wanna make more memories together, but it's gonna be so hard for us to do so. M-My hyungs don't even know about you and I want that to change! Why can't we be happy like every other mate couple??"
"I don't know why, Jungkook," Taehyung admitted sadly, running his fingers through my hair. "It's gonna be hard for us nevertheless, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes for you to be happy and safe, we're destined to be mates for a reason."
Just hearing that made my cheeks burn warmly as I smiled, hiding my face in his neck. "I know...there's a reason for everything."
Taehyung giggled, peppering kisses on my head. "Don't be down, baby. I hate seeing you sad,"
"I'm okay, Taehyungie. Thank you for cheering me up," I beamed, pressing a soft peck on his chin. "What should we do? I'll probably leave in the evening."
A sigh left Taehyung's soft, supple lips as his arms tightened around my body. "It pains me too that you have to leave, I wanna spend every second of today with you in my arms."
"Every second?" I teased. "Even in the restroom?"
"Maybe not that far," Taehyung mumbled in embarrassment.
