Moves and Counter Moves

Engfa was called when the re-autopsy has started. She and Charlotte immediately ran back to the gallery to watch. Charlotte stayed in front of the glass mirror constantly asking Mew about things related only to the autopsy but Mew kept on inserting unrelated comments that made the sulking Engfa even more irritable.

"I was informed that a syringe was found and it's already being processed for dna. What about we wait for the results over dinner?"

Mew asked over the intercom while his eyes are still on the cadaver infront of him. Charlotte chuckled while Engfa huffed loudly she made Charlotte look at her with a raised eyebrow.

"You can bring your parents too. I missed them."

Mew said again. Engfa stood up from her seat and walked beside Charlotte so she can speak over the mic.

"Doctor, please focus on the autopsy."

She said sternly making Mew look at her. Charlotte softly chuckled beside Engfa but she is not amused at all.

"Officer, don't worry, Aoom is doing a great job right here."

He said with amusement on his voice. Engfa rolled her eyes.

"Good thing then that she is leading this re autopsy because you can't seem to get your eyes off of Dr. Austin."

She said hotly, making Aoom look at her. She sighed before speaking. She knows her friend really well.

"Fa, go outside and breathe some fresh air. I can handle this."

She said before going back to what she's doing. It's Charlotte's turn to look at Engfa with a slight annoyance on her face. Engfa just looked at her smugly and then turned around to walk out of the door. Charlotte's reaction turned from amusement to irritation in just a matter of seconds. She crossed her arms before focusing once again on the autopsy being conducted below.

"She listens to you. She must like you that much."

Charlotte said trying to sound nonchalant. Aoom looked at her and sighed once again.

"You can go too. I'm trying to focus here. Unless you're forgetting why we're here then we can just all sit down and chat about why you two are acting up like kids."

She said while working. Charlotte's eyes grew wide with what she said. She can't believe that she's been told like that by someone who barely even know her. She wanted to say something more but kept her mouth shut because somehow the doctor is right.

Charlotte watched silently and waited for the procedure to finish.

"This mark on the forehead, looks like an allergic reaction."

Mew said after a while. He looked up at Charlotte.

"She has a lot of things that she's allergic to."

Charlotte answered. Mew creased her forehead.

"How did you know that?"

He asked with genuine curiosity. Charlotte but her lip. She remembered that Mew haven't met her sister before.

"She's my sister."

She said. Mew backed from the table a bit visibly shocked.

"What!? Oh, God. I didn't know."

He said while looking at Aoom who just shrugged her shoulders.

"It's okay, Mew. All I want now is to find the person responsible for what happened."
