Author's Note: I found inspiration to write this chapter. Thank you to everyone who is reading. Thank you for leaving comments as well. I also have the next two chapters planned so I'll work on them as much as I can. Again, this is very self-indulgent. Also please forgive any grammatical errors. I'llprobably be correcting as I re-read.
A thrum of overlapping voices could be heard as the cast members all said their goodbyes and walked with their families and managers, arms full of fan gifts. Their first fan meeting, held over two days had been a success and they were all ready for some much needed rest an relaxation. They would have a couple days off before they would begin practice again. The fanmeeting coming up would be held in Hong Kong in a couple of weeks and everyone had been hard at work trying to memorize some Mandarin phrases so they could better communicate with their fans.
But for now, Nut was happy, carrying his large bag of fan gifts to the car. He was very ready for a hot shower so he could throw on lounging clothes and shut out the world for a whole two days. Two days of no schedules, just personal trips. He had already planned on being at Garfield's birthday dinner, but that was the only outing he planned. The rest of the time would be his...and of course Sai's.
Oh, didn't he mention that he would be holed up at home with Sai? It was an agreement they had both made before the fanmeeting, due to their busy practice schedules. Sai, his chronologically younger but mentally older best friend, boyfriend, soulmate, whatever people wanted to call their relationship. But Sai was Nut's just as Nut was Sai's. Sure, they each had their professional responsibilities but outside of that, it was the two of them. It had been the two of them for a while now, even though their physical relationship was relatively new.
Nut wasn't even sure how it started, but those nights together, sleeping over, spending it playing games, cooking, going on shopping trips just melded into whatever they had now. A night of drunken kisses led to blurted out mutual feelings, which led to physical intimacy that left both of them breathless. They complemented each other so well, knew each other's likes and dislikes. They knew each other's secrets, their weaknesses, vulnerabilities and were each other's strengths and support.
Nut had been weak in front of Sai, cried in front of him, threw tantrums, and the other had always been there, never judging. Just there, holding him, hugging him, pressing kisses into his hair, his cheeks, his lips. Nut unconsciously lifted a hand to touch his lips at the memory. How long had it been since he had gotten a kiss? Hours? Days? The correct answer was: too long.
It was amazing just how much of Nut's life revolved around Sai and vice versa. When had Sai completely taken over his sense of being. He had been on his own for so long that when Sai walked into his life and became his everything, it was a change that Nut willingly accepted. He was tired of being alone, having to fight his battles alone. He had grown to distrust and distance himself from everyone, even his friends. That fateful day at LoveFest changed everything and now Nut couldn't stand being alone. It was rare that he even slept alone, finding his stuffed animals and plushies were now ill replacements for Sai's warm and sturdy body.
Nut always ran cold, especially in his feet and hands, so Sai being next to him provided the warmth he craved and he no longer had to sleep in oversized hoodies and sweatpants anymore. On the nights he and Sai spent together, he opted for a t-shirt and pajama pants.
Waving goodbye to the other cast members, Nut's manager helped to load the fan gifts into the car. P'Moo, Nut's paid driver, was already there, ready to escort Nut home. The gifts filled the entire backseat as well as the trunk, and there were even more that hadn't been loaded yet. Nut's manager would take the rest and drop it off at Nut's house before heading home.
A 'ding' on his phone took his attention from his manager trying to close the back passenger door of the car, trying not to crush the bouquets sitting on the top of the pile of gifts. Nut couldn't help but smile.
