Fool
As the clock struck midnight and the world outside slumbered in silence, I delved into the depths of my textbooks, each page looks like a battlefield where equations clashed and molecules danced in intricate formations. With each time that passed, my room transformed into a sanctuary of solitude, and the only sound that echoed in the dimly lit room was the scratch of my pen against the paper.
As I felt the yawn slowly building up inside me, my jaw stretched wide, like a reluctant curtain being drawn open to reveal the weariness lurking behind it. It made me glance at my big glass wall clock with a teary eyes. The hour hand was pointed in the number 12 and the longer hand was in the middle lower part, indicating 12:31 AM. I couldn't help but to pout when I saw its reflection, it was my fluffy duvet perfectly hugging my queen-size bed.
And I still have to finish reading my General Biology textbook!
It didn't take long for me to feel satisfied with what I had learned, and I can say that it was really tiring.
As dawn broke, the soft light filtered through the window, hitting my face and nudging me awake from my slumber. The chirping of birds outside my window was loud enough to serve as nature's alarm clock, urging me to get up and greet the day. With a yawn and a stretch, I unwillingly left the warmth of my fluffy bed, feeling the cool embrace of the morning air as I walked towards the bathroom.
My usual morning routine began as I splashed water on my face, rousing myself from the remnants of sleep. The warm steam completely enveloped my whole being, providing a comforting embrace against the coldness of the morning air.
In the midst of tranquil moment, I began to remember bits and pieces of last night's study session. Images of textbooks and handwritten notes swirled through my mind, accompanied by the faint echo of my own voice reciting the key concepts.
With a sense of determination, I mentally rehearsed the informations.
With a towel wrapped tightly around my body, I made my way to the closet, feeling tense as anticipation built within me. I opened the closet and an array of neatly folded clothes greeted my eyes. I reached for my school uniform, feeling the smooth fabric beneath my fingertips. As I buttoned up my long-sleeved dirty white shirt and fastened my apple green skirt, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. The reflection staring back at me was an image of readiness of someone prepared to meet the challenges of the day. With a final adjustment of my necktie and a flick of my hair, I stepped out of my room with confidence, feeling refreshed and ready to seized the day ahead.
