AFTER A FEW HOURS of walking, Kaori suggested the mint-green-eyed boy run west to which the boy agreed so they could have some time to question the villagers about the disappearance of the young ladies

It was already afternoon when the two arrived - Kaori and Muichiro stood in front of the gate entrance of the village. While walking further inside the town, the villagers there stared at them.

"Oh my... who are they? I've never seen them around the village before..."

"Wow! The white-haired chick is a beauty~!"

"What's up with them... they look weird..."

Muichiro looked at the white-haired who seemed focused, scanning the village. Muichiro's eyes advert to the revealing holes on her pants as she walked, her thighs visible to others.

"Kaori-san..." He muttered, catching the attention of the girl who looked at him after hearing him call out for her.

"Ah, Muichiro-kun... don't bother the villagers..." Kaori assured, bringing her hand up and patting his shoulder in a comforting manner.

"Your pants are too revealing."

Kaori turned white, freezing when the boy bluntly told her about his view of her uniform. "Ah well- I thought so too but Kanroji-san would feel disappointed if I did say it's too revealing... It's alright though-"

"It's not, others can see your thighs... it's not good." Muichiro cuts in, going straight to the point as Kaori exhales a sigh.

"Ahh... if that's what you're worried about, it's alright. They'll mind their own business, besides... I guess showing some skin can't hurt since my breathing style shows elegance... it can captivate the demon..." She reasoned.

Muichiro furrowed his eyebrows, looking away with a huff. "Alright then..."

'Why does he look mad... eh, whatever..' Kaori shrugged it off as they approached a booth stand that displayed fresh fruits on the counter. "Excuse me, can we ask some questions regarding the missing girl's case?"

The woman behind the booth froze, paralyzed in fear as she started trembling. "U-Uhm... about t-that... I'm sorry... I don't know anything..."

Kaori's eyebrows furrowed in disappointment as the woman backed away from the booth, 'She's lying...'

"She is lying," Muichiro stated bluntly as the villager woman squeaked in fear, trying to defend herself. "I really don't know!!"

Muichiro and Kaori narrowed their eyes as they observed the scared woman's body movements.

"Excuse me! Excuse me!!" A man's voice bellowed as he pushed through the walking villagers, reaching the two slayers who glanced at him weirdly as he pants tiredly in front of them.

"I'll tell you!! I know about the missing villagers!!!" He managed to breathe out as both Muichiro and Kaori exchanged glances with each other.

"Come with me, both of you." He grinned warmly towards the two slayers who eyed him suspiciously.
