Russian Roulette

I pulled out a gun,

Held it to my head,

One bullet, six chambers,

It was Russian roulette.

I pulled the trigger,

But no shot would sound,

No blood would pour,

I'd not fall to the ground.

The weapon was stolen,

Ripped from my hands,

And there in front of me,

Stood a great man.

With the strongest stature,

And an uncanny grin,

He spoke to me,

"This is no way to win."

And I laughed at his words,

"Get down on your knee,

for I am a woman,

And you bow down to me."

And the man was startled,

As he thought I'd succumb,

He seethed, "Go back to hell,

From which you came from."

He spake with forked tongue,

His mouth in a curl.

"For it's a man's world,

And you are only a girl."

I grinned at his words,

As I was practically beaming,

For it was a woman,

From whom he was weaning.

"It was a woman,

Who founded your birth,

It was a woman,

Who gave you your worth.

In a man's world,

A world without women,

There are no toddlers,

No teenagers or children.

So say what you will,

Insult me as a girl,

For I know the truth,

That women run the world."
