Chapter 21: Pups All Around

Summary: Just a regular day for the pups with nothing too exciting happening on campus.

Marshall's POV

After finishing up the assignment my teacher dismissed my medical education class early so I decided to message Rubble to see if he wants to meet up at the library to hang and get some extra work from our classes done.  On my way to the out I ran into Liberty one of the Skye introduced us to. She noticed who I was and approached me, "Hey you're Marshall right?" she asked as I nodded in response to her question. She then said something under her breath but I really couldn't make out what she said. She then went on to ask me some random questions like what was my favorite color and what do I like to do for fun and I answered them all respectfully. "Um, what did you want to know all that for?" I asked in curiosity. "No reason." She said in response. After that she just walked off and I continued doing what I planned thinking nothing of it.

After school was out I met up with Rubble and we headed towards the library. On our way we ran into Liberty and Everest. Before either of us got to say anything, "Hey Marshall! Do you and Rubble want to hang out this weekend? She asked sounding as if she wasn't asking but demanding. "I don't mind. What do you girls plan on doing?" Rubble asked. "Well we were going to hang out at a dance club this weekend." Everest replied looking not at Rubble but at me as if I was the one who asked the question. As the conversation continued I noticed that Everest would stare a me briefly. I don't know if that means something or not but the way she stared at me had my mind racing. "Yeah so we just wanted to see if you boys wanted to join us since Skye now has a boyfriend and we apparently don't exist to her." I overheard Liberty say. "Sure, we'd love too." I said slightly glancing over at Everest. "Great we'll see you boys this weekend. Liberty said as Rubble and I continued our walk to the Library. After about an hour of studying and getting extra work done Rubble told me that he had to leave to go help his roommate with something. After he left I headed to the café to grab some snacks and made my way to my dorm. When I got there Chase was laying on his bed working on some assignments for some of his classes. "Hey Marshall, did you have fun at the library?" He said as I jumped in my bed. "Yeah, Rubble and I got a lot of extra things done. We also ran into Liberty and Everest." I said as I got myself comfortable. "Oh yeah, did they say anything to you guys?" He asked looking at me. "Yeah, they asked if we wanted to hang out with them this weekend." Rubble and I agreed so the four of us are going out dancing." I said as I laid there on my back. "Well it looks like you and Rubble are going to have some fun this weekend, am I right?" he said with a slight smirk, winking his eye at me. "Not funny Chase." I said as I rolled over to face him. "So what do you have planned for this weekend?" I asked as he laughed seemingly at his comment. "Nothing major. Skye and I are just gonna hang out and relax." He said going back to focusing on his work. I thought to myself that since all the pups are going to be busy this weekend it was going to be hard getting used to this lifestyle. It seemed like we aren't as close as we used to be but regardless of the situation I'll just smoke it off.
