Can you hear that
The sound of our strings breaking
Breaking us apart
Then everything turned into nothing
To what are we even holding on to
In the past, we tried to work out
To what are we even willing to do
Be there but still figuring things out
It looks like the two of us are playing
A game that was running for years
And for years of playing, I kept losing
Then only the sound of my heart breaking was all I could hear
