You and Theo have been dating for over three years now, the two of you met when he was in his third year and you in your first year. Now, Theo was in his sixth year while you were in your fourth

The two of you had gone to a party that was being held in the slytherin common room, Theo decide it would be a good idea considering your four year anniversary was today

You were drinking and dancing while Theo was off with his friends when you hear someone snicker from behind you

You turned around and saw one of Theo's friends, Pansy, standing behind you with a smug look on her face

You tilted your head in confusion not understanding what the problem was, she had never liked you and you were pretty sure she had a thing for Theo

"I can't believe Theo made it this long with your sorry ass, if I were him I wouldnt have even considered the bet, you were just some vulnerable first year that he could do anything to" she said crossing her arms and smirking

"What did you say?" you asked Pansy, you felt numb but suddenly a lot more sober than you were a few seconds ago. You look at her in disbelief but the look in her eye told you that she wasn't lying

You go to make a snarky response before noticing Theo standing next to you. His presence makes Pansy walk away, normally you would feel comfort and warmth in his presence but his time you just felt cold

"Babe." He says placing a hand on your shoulder, you quickly shrugged it off turning to look up at him with tears in your eyes

He looks at you and pulls you close

"Don't listen to her, she was just joking." He tried to reassure you, before kissing your forehead. His actions didn't line up with his words, she had said too many details to make this a joke

You couldnt bare it anymore, you push him away "what the fuck do you mean 'she was just joking' thats not something you joke about" you shout at him "i cant fucking believe you" you scoffed crossing your arms

Theo stepped back with guilt clear on his face. "P-please listen to me." He says "I can't lose you, the only reason I dated you in the first place was because of that bet but I really-" He stops as you cut him off

"The only reason?" You repeat the sentence hurt evident in your voice. You already felt like he had plunged a knife through your chest, now it felt as if he was twisting it

you were shocked and hurt with what he had just revealed, your mouth was slightly ajar and the tears were starting to fall down your face

Theo quickly realized that he might have just made the biggest mistake of his life. He felt his eyes sting as he saw how much his words had affected you. He wanted to make this right but he couldn't just start lying to you

"It's complicated" he says, which in fact only made matters worse

"COMPLICATED?" you screamed at him, "How the fuck is it complicated" you ask your sadness being replaced with anger. By now everyone around you was watching which only provoked you more

He wanted to tell you the truth, not what you wanted to hear

"There was this dare and it evolved into a bet and I just kinda was with you because of that. But when I spent more time with you, I actually started to like you.. I-I was-"

His rambling made no sense to either of you and only managed to piss you off even more

"Fuck you Theodore, I dont ever what to see your face" you said before slapping him across the face "lose my fucking number you dick" and with that you walked back to your dorm tears rolling down the face

Theo deserved the slap, he was aware of how much of a prick he would turn out to be. He was going to try to stop you from walking away out of guilt, but realized that he just needed to leave you alone

The only good thing he could do for her, or himself for that matter, was to let her go.
