Whatever it was, it caused a flutter in your stomach that made goosebumps rise on your skin. Slowly, hesitantly, you pushed aside the duvet cover and sat up straight against your pillows, taking a deep breath before answering him through cracked lips, "Fine..."

He just nodded his head grateful that you were giving him a chance to explain once more "I know at the party I said the only reason I wanted to be with you was because of the bet but I promise,"

He paused taking a deep breath before scooting closer to you and placing a hand on your cheek "I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you"

He mumbled before leaning in and placing a soft kiss on your lips "I used the bet as and excuse because I didnt want to show my true emotions" he admits

As soon as their lips touched once again time seemed to stand still, the warmth of his touch sent shivers down your spine while your heart raced uncontrollably in your chest

For what felt like an eternity, they remained locked in this intimate embrace until eventually pulling apart slightly

His hazel eyes bore into hers intensely as if searching for some sort of answer or validation. "I-I never meant to hurt you like this," he stammered nervously, running his fingers through his unruly hair
