The Wed-lock

On our way to the restaurant both nihal and uncle kept bikering again.

We soon reached the place and went inside. We went towards our reserved table.

Nihal pushed a chair behind for me and I took my place next to him and uncle aunty sat opposite us.

"What shall we order" aunty said looking at the menu.

"What do you want nihal and Anaya?"

Nihal passed me the menu. I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows.

I shook my head and saw the menu.

"I'm fine with anything" I said slowly which was only audible to nihal because of the music playing in the background.

"Dad order anything you like and don't forget to add chicken biryani that's it"

His and his love for chicken biryani everywhere we go.

"We can order the dessert later so order the main course first dad"

Our food came and we were having it in silence.

"Do you like the food Anaya?"

"Yea it's good" I said giving uncle a smile. He always stood by my side from the time I came into this house.

God I'm already soo full. I ate some food at the mall with nihal.

"I'm done" nihal said sitting back. His plate is empty so he can say that but my plate is still full.

"Have some more nihal. You didn't even have lunch at home today"

"Ma I ate at the mall"

I tried finishing the food but I can't anymore. I looked at nihal while chewing the food slowly and he was already looking at me.

Don't I look like a cow chewing the food for the tenth time?

"Just keep it aside if you don't wanna eat. Why are you forcing yourself?" He said pushing my plate away.

I could see uncle and aunty looking at us.

"What happened Anaya? Shall we order something else?"

What should I say?

"We already had food at the mall dad so we are full"

"Oh okay" uncle said smiling at us.

"See they didn't even ask me to eat with them. I didn't even know they had food without me" aunty said laughing.

"Why do you wanna go in between young couples nivea. You know you can me anytime for dinner or lunch right" uncle said.

"Yea as if you answer my calls"

"Ma dad have your romance at home. You can't do all this in front of two young people right" nihal said to his parents.

"You will not understand now. Just wait until you fall in love nihal"

The silence again. Even the music sceems lonely because of us I guess.

"Guys what shall we order for the desserts?"

"Ice cream for me" nihal said using his phone.

"And you Anaya?"

"I'll have ice cream too" I forgot all the other dessert names because of the sudden question.

We had our desserts too and now we are waiting for uncle to come back after paying the bills.

Nihal opened the door for me and I sat inside. He started the car after uncle came back.
