CHAPTER-8

IAME- I don't know what I wrote hehehhe...damn man, even when I am free I am busy these days...my days full of youthful fantasies are gone...haha writing this fic is really fun except for the part that I have to write about the shows and all, I don't know how behind the scene thingy works, I can only blatantly presume everything

After the song was chosen, both of them were quickly invested in practicing for their first stage, when the day for the profile shoot finally came.

On the day of the photoshoot, they both followed Cha-PD to the designated studio, while they were waiting for their turn for the shoot, someone caught First's eyes "Hyung, who is that? He seems kind of familiar..." he asked looking at the person who was posing nonchalantly in front of the camera.

"Oh! You must know him. You know that 'OFFtheChart' show?"

"Mm, I've heard about it. What about it hyung?"

"He was a finalist in that show, but just didn't make it to the debuting lineup though. So, he is also participating, huh?" Hyunsoo muttered the last part meaningfully, looking at his future opponent, unseriously sizing him up.

"He must be pretty popular already then? Why doesn't his company just debut him?" First murmured looking over curiously coincidentally meeting the other's eyes, at that Khaotung slightly smiled at him and then focused on the shoot again.

"Huh? " First was stunned but before he could even respond, the other person was already back to facing the camera seriously.

"Oh right! He is Thai too." Hyungsoo suddenly exclaimed at him, First went 'huh?' then to realization, "He is also a Thai huh I see"

For this location, there were two designated booths to shoot, one was for trainee profile pictures while another was to shoot an introductory video for each trainee, apart from First, more than 10 people were waiting for their turns, some were getting their makeup done, while some were being styled, the whole venue was bustling with activity. When Hyungsoo went in for his shoot, First silently played with his phone, no trainee went over to him to greet him, neither did he go up to someone else, until after some time, someone came in front of him, and he heard a gentle voice above him, "Khaotung".

First was slightly puzzled as he looked at the extended hand in front of him and looked up from his phone to see the person, seeing who it was he dazedly replied holding the other person's hand, "First". 

Khaotung's lips slightly curved up, very subtly as he said, "Can I sit here?" 

"Oh yeah" 

After that, there was a brief moment of silence before First spoke, "Um, You are Thai right?" 

Khaotung looked sideways at him and nodded slightly, "I guess you are too?" 

"Mm, sunbae?" First inquiringly threw the word to Khaotung, to which Khaotung was very nonchalant as he replied, "What sunbae? We are both trainees, I have not debuted yet."

"Oh I see" First was quiet after that but, Khaotung said chuckling at how amusing the current situation was, "We are both Thai but from the start, we have been communicating in Korean, this situation is really "

First realized the absurdity too so he laughed along with him. The awkwardness he felt toward Khaotung for being a total stranger seemed to have lessened a little along with their small laughs.

"Are you waiting for your turn?" Khaotung asked First after their chuckling session was finished.

"Yes, you are already done with yours?"

"No, video is still left," Khaotung said as he shook his head a few times.

Along the way, while both of them were waiting for their turns, they both talked about this and that, sharing information on the show about what they knew. That day before First went in for his turn, they shared their contact information, First made a friend whom he would hold as high as his dreams of being an idol.
