Chapter 2 Operation successful and entering Heaven

Around 30 minutes later
We continued the tour with little to no problems. Alastor left a bit ago and now Vaggie was talking Lucifer about somethings around here. I wasn't really paying attention to the conversation if I was being honest.

We were now on the balcony, enjoying the nice, hot air of hell from high up. "So, what do you think?" Charlie asked Lucifer which made me snap out of my thoughts. This happens more than I'd like to admit.

"About what?" The angel asked his daughter, making me pinch the bridge of my nose. Of course he wasn't really paying much attention... or he was and was put up an act for some reason.

"The hotel." Charlie told him, looking at him like she was close to loosing her cool. I really hope she doesn't and I hope Lucifer can start trying to be a better parent to her.

He had a look of surprise on his face when she said that. "Oh yes, it does-it does look much better now, doesn't it? Ya know but I'm feeling this railing needs work, one good push and you'd just go right over the edge. Whoopie, bye-bye." He said all of this end leaned against the railing like he was going to fall. I did pull him back a bit so he didn't really fall and silently scolded him.

Charlie was shocked but what her father said. "What? No, no, the plan, dad! What do you think about using the hotel to help sinners?" She asked him with a bit of frustration in her tone. I would be too if I was in her position.

Lucifer looked like he was dreading answering the question. "Alright, I mean, look. I love that you want to see the best in people but these sinners. You know, they're just the worst. I-I don't know how much you can realistically expect from in Heaven. Hohooo boy, Heaven isn't exactly as carefree as you might think. Yeah, they have rules. Lots of rules. And they aren't very open minded as you hoped." He explained to his daughter but I wasn't buying it one bit. Yes, some of what he said was true but the first half of what he said, not even he believed.

Charlie looked desperately at her father. "These are our people dad, I-I have to try." She said as she started to tear up a bit. Shit, the mission was starting to go down hill. This might've just made their relationship worse.

"Our 'people', Charlie, are awful! They got gifted free will and look what they did with it! Everything's terrible! (Starts wheezing a bit) I just don't want you to put yourself on the like for people like-" Lucifer was thankfully interrupted by a loud bang that literally shook the building.

I looked down and saw loan shark's at the front door with a battering ram as they said something about Mimzy. Lucifer created a portal and I kissed his cheek after we walked through it into the lobby. "Why the fuck are there loan sharks trying to break in?" I asked as Vaggie and Charlie also asked about the situation but in a more professional manner.

Mimzy looked at us nervously. "I maaaaaay be in trouble with some loan shark's I may or may not have borrowed fifty grand from-" She cut herself off and squeaked as she hid behind the counter. This day isn't going as planned. "And I may have stolen a car... and crashed it... into the loan shark's girlfriend. But that bitch had it coming!" She added as if that helped her case. Alastor has very shitty friends, I guess.

Fire balls were shot through the window and everyone else started to freak out. I looked at the front door with annoyance. "I'll deal with this-" I was cut off by Alastor patting my shoulder and giving me a look that told me I needed to trust him so I let him do what he wanted.

He grew tentacles from his back and grew in size as he walked out, taking care of the loans shark's. As Alastor did that, Lucifer was looking smug. "Mhm, ya see? What I tell ya? Charlie, sinners are violent psychopaths, hell bent on causing as much pain and destruction as they can. There's really no point in trying." He told her in a fake confidence. What's with him right now? When did he ever think like this.
