Summary : Claire and Leon bump into each other at a formal event!

Status of their relationship in this one shot : Just friends but obvious chemistry is showing!

No smut this time, maybe soon!

Leon walked into the extensive building, immediately hearing the sound of classical, yet up beat music. The sound of many voices could be heard, the place was packed full of people. Leon didn't really mind large crowds though, he would just keep to himself, possibly grab a drink or two.

Tonight was a special day for Leon and the organization he works for, the D.S.O, the company was celebrating it's five years officially in business. There are many branches to the organization, specifically, Leon works for the President of the United States, he has since the early two-thousands.

For the event, Leon was wearing a regular black and white suit, no tie, he doesn't like ties, they make him feel like he's being strangled. Even so, he felt as though he was dressed up well enough for the event, it's not like he had a say in coming anyhow, he was forced to considering it was an invitation from the President himself.

A couple months back, Leon actually saved the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, and ever since, he's been the talk of the town. Leon has been recruited for many missions since he was able to prove his strength and loyalty to the D.S.O, considering he never backed down once from the mission. Leon was considered a honorable, inspiring man, those are words from the President himself.

Moving through the lofty crowds of people, Leon spotted a bar just ahead, which is exactly what he'd be needing if he were to try and survive this night. There is nothing particularly wrong with the people here, nor the event itself, Leon just knew he'd be irritated and tired by the end of the night, and with some alcohol in his system, it'll subdue it.

Ambling to the bar, Leon spotted a few people already there. It appeared to be two men, and a woman, each sitting two seats apart, indicating no one knew one another. Claiming a barstool, Leon sat down and put his finger up, signaling the bartender to head his way.

The bartender was a middle aged man, somewhere in his thirties, even early fourties. His name tag had read, 'James'. "Hey, James, mind getting me some straight whiskey?" Leon asked, being as friendly as possible. Leon could be an asshole when he was a drunk, and he didn't plan on getting plastered tonight, so he'll keep it as positive as possible.

James nodded and began to finish the others orders, eventually, he'll move onto Leon's.

Whilst waiting for his glass of whiskey, Leon sat there for a second before turning his head at a woman's voice. "Leon Kennedy? Is that you?" The woman spoke, her tone quite low. Leon turned his head and grinned when he seen who it had been. "Claire? Claire Redfield?" Leon questioned, analyzing her face and body.

"Yeah, it is me! How have you been?" Claire asked, her smile brighter than ever, she seemed a bit buzzed. "I've been okay, how about you? It's been a good bit since we last spoke, hasn't it?" Leon stated, along with a question. "Sure has been. I'm okay, you know how it is, just living day by day." Claire said, pulling a loose strand of hair behind her ears.

"Trust me, I get it." Leon replied, looking Claire up and down, still a bit in shock that he was speaking to her again. "So, what brings you here exactly?" Leon questioned, wondering why exactly she was at an event for the D.S.O. "I was invited to be a plus one with one of my good friends, Sandra, but pretty sure she's somewhere dancing or making out with some guy." Claire cackled, sipping her glass of champagne.
