Author's Note: Woo, done with this chapter!

"Previously on Total Drama Island, campers had to build their own hot wheels in a motocross challenge to race for invincibility. There were big winners, and big-time losers! And there were even some wicked, off-the-track, motocross stunts! Makoto ultimately lost the race and the challenge, which meant goodbye to him and his adorkably charming ways."

At the docks, Chris finished up the recap. "Who will be the next winner? Who will be the next loser? Who will renew my contract for next season? All of these mind-probing questions revealed on this episode of...

Episode Eighteen: Hook, Line, and Screamer

-

The episode opened on a black-and-white image of the woods, spooky music accompanying it. A pair of boots when stepped on-screen, and the camera panned up to show a large man wearing a hockey mask and bloody apron brandishing a chainsaw.

The chainsaw revved and the contestants, in color, were watching the film in the moviegoers a theater with varying reactions.

"Oh, god," Kaede exclaimed, eating some popcorn from the bag in her hands. "Look at the size of that chainsaw!"

"Yeah, definitely would not want to be on the wrong side of that thing," Rantaro added.

Hiyoko's eyes widened. "He's going for the car!"

"Dude!" Junko yelled. "Stop making out with your girlfriend and get outta there!"

"And of course they won't," Celestia added with a disinterested expression, "because people in horror movies all seem to have the collective IQ of a rock."

"Makes for interesting bloodbaths, though!" Kokichi pointed out. "Ooh, like right now!"

"I wonder how much they're going to show," Maki pondered.

She got her answer the moment the screen flashed red. Half of the campers cheered while the other half screamed or groaned in disgust.

"I don't think I like this movie very much..." Sayaka whimpered.

"And the psycho got away," Junko commented. "Wow."

"Wow, what a great movie," Kokichi said as the credits rolled, hopping up from his seat.

"Speak for yourself," Celestia replied. "And how was it even good in the first place? You quite literally said it yourself—the only interesting part was the murders."

"Exactly. Murder equals good movie, in my humble opinion."

Celestia rolled her eyes. "Okay."

"God, I hate horror movies," Sayaka added, her body shaking as she stood up as well.

"Seriously," Maki agreed. "It's just the same exact concept over and over again."

Kaede yawned. "Well, I'm pooped. I'm gonna head to bed." Standing up, she turned to Sayaka. "Are you gonna be okay? Do you want me to walk with you to your cottage?"

"Y-Yeah..." Sayaka nodded. "I'd appreciate that."

The contestants exited the theater, into the night sky, and were about to cross the bridge to the main island when they spotted Chef frantically throwing luggage into the Boat of Losers, much to their confusion. Kaede was the one to approach him.
