A Son for a Son

*About 4 days after Jacaerys and Beira left Dragonstone*

Guards loyal to House Stark are standing guard on their posts along the walkway on top of the outer wall surrounding Winterfell. Within the walls, servants can be seen preparing things since they know they'll soon get some royal guests

Suddenly, 2 different dragon roars can be heard, causing the guards to look up where the sound was coming from

"Dragons!" a Stark guard yells out.

"Dragons!" another Stark guard yells out.

All the guards are now preparing themselves, as well as the Stark soldiers in the courtyard. Hearing all the commotion, the deputy Lord of Winterfell walks outside to see what is going on

"What's going on out here?!" Cregan asks a Stark soldier.

"2 dragons are approaching fast." the Stark soldier replies.

"Stand down, men!" Cregan calls out loudly.

"My Lord?" another Stark soldier questions nervously.

"It won't be the Greens; it'll be the Blacks." Cregan explains.

*Meanwhile, in the air*

Jace and Beira finally see Winterfell after flying for a few days. They can see soldiers getting ready. They guess that the soldiers are probably thinking that they're going to attack them. So to calm them down, they land several feet away from the outer wall. Once their dragons land, they get off and walk to the entrance of Winterfell

Once at the entrance, they introduce themselves

"I am Prince Jacaerys Velaryon." Jace introduces himself, saying his name.

"And I am Princess Beira Stark." Beira introduces herself, saying her name.

"We have a message for Lord Cregan Stark from the King." Jace informs the guards that are standing on top of the wall.

Cregan proceeds to open the gates. Once they're fully open, Jace and Beira walk inside the courtyard and walk up to Cregan

"My Prince." Cregan greets Jace, nodding his head at him. "My Lady." he greets Beira, nodding his head at her.

Jace then hands the scroll Eddard gave him to Cregan. He takes it, breaks the seal, unrolls it and it reads out loud:

Dear brother,
The Greens have usurped my wife's throne, our rightful Queen. And she has crowned me her King. Gather every head of the Northern houses to Winterfell. Once they've all arrived, inform them of what happened. Inform them that every man and woman, from age 45 and up, needs to be ready to fight. Out of those who have not yet received combat training, they'll have to train daily with all the weapons their house has at their disposal. Anyone younger, but of legal age, who wishes to join can, but will also have to train daily with all the weapons their house has at their disposal.

Cregan then looks up at Jace and Beira

"Very well, it shall be done." he tells them.

He then turns to the maester of Winterfell, Maester Besnik, who replaced Maester Ashish after his death
