The team was out in Africa today, something to do with vibranium I wasn't fully paying attention. Ever since yesterday at the lab, after I had intertwined the fire and lightning I had been heeling abnormally fast, when I had got back to the compound I went into the bathroom and lit a candle for when I got into the bath, I guess I had picked it up with to much force or something because it exploded, and glass punctured my hand, it was pretty deep too. So I picked all the glass out and pretty much seconds after, my skin sealed up like nothing had ever happened, I know the S.S.S makes you heal faster, but it does it naturally, but my hand looked like it hand been surgically stitched back together, then somebody hit the fast forward button a couple weeks.
So while the team was in Africa I was going to use my spare time to figure out what was happening, which is why I am now in the lab. I was sat in my dads chair analyzing data on a blood sample I took on myself, my cells were glowing a teal color which is NOT normal. "Well what the hell does that mean?" I said allowed, glancing at my hands then the screen again. "Fuck it." I said standing up and walking over to the bar, (Yes I said bar.) I grabbed a knife and took a deep breath, I exhaled and slid the knife across my hand, I saw my skin split open, and moments later close back up, only a slight pain remaining.
"Goddamn it!" I slid it across my hand again, with the same results, I sighed. "I've got to try something bigger." I took my belt off and folded it up, then put it in my mouth, biting down on it. With a quick move the knife was lodged in my stomach, I cried out a burning sensation filling my stomach, "Jarvis...on...standby mode please." I grunted, my shirt was quickly soaking up my blood, "Standby mode activated Ms. Stark." I grasped the handle and pulled, with a pain filled scream the knife dislodged and the pain grew distant. I pulled up my shirt and looked at my stomach, besides the blood there was no evidence, "Woah." I said, letting my shirt fall back down. "Jar, you can turn standby mode off now." I said, leaning on the counter, and pouring myself a shot of vodka. "Standby mode off." Jarvis replied, I stared at the counter and swirled the liquid around, so I can heal myself cool. I brought the drink to my lips and downed it, then placed it back on the table, "Shit." I groaned, now I got to go back into shield for more damn tests.
"Or not?" I walked over to the desk and grabbed my phone, I had to type in my password a few different times due to the blood smears, but I finally got it unlocked, and called Fury. "This is Fury." I rolled my eyes, 'I know who it is I called you' I thought. "Hey Fury, could you come down to lab real fast?" I asked, walking over to the sink and turning on the water, holding the phone with my shoulder. "Y/n I'm kind of busy here, I can't just leave." he responded annoyed. "Fine I guess I'll just bleed out then." I said, squeezing soap onto my hand, and rubbing them together, the foam turning red. "What?" I hummed as I stuck my hands under the water, "Yep, someone stabbed me in the stomach with a knife, and I'm bleeding profusely." I lied, watching my blood swirl down the drain.
He sighed and replied, "I'll be there in five." then the call disconnected, I smirked "Works every time." I shut the water off and wiped my hands on my shirt that I had sat on the counter, then glared at the dark red stain where I had stabbed myself, that was going to be a bitch to remove, hopefully my mom could take care of it. I plopped back down on the computer chair, holding the glass of alcohol in my right hand, sipping from it occasionally. Five minutes later Fury and Maria Hill strode through the lab door, a nurse walking behind them. "Ah, your here, good I have something to show you." I said standing back up and walking over to him, he eyed my shirt warily probably thinking about how much blood I should've lost. I smiled at him as he got ready to speak, "Who stabbed you?" he asked, ushering the nurse forward. "I did." I sighed dramatically, "For an experiment, you didn't need to bring the nurse, she's not needed." I said, pointing down at my exposed stomach, "It healed." He looked confused, "The serum doesn't work that fast." he said, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Oh I know." I said, nodding my head. "I think I might have unlocked a new power yesterday, or created one." I walked back to the bar and picked up the knife, then walked back to Fury, handing him the knife. "Stab me." I said, nodding in his direction. "What? No!" he responded, shaking his head, I rolled my eyes. "Stab me or I tell everyone how you actually lost your eye." he glared at me, "You don't even know how I lost my eye." I winked at him and stuck out my tongue. "Goose?" he huffed and his arm shot forward, the knife once again lodged in my gut, I groaned and slumped forward gripping his shoulders. "Okay, now pull...pull it out." I grunted, clenching his leather overcoat in my fists, he retracted the blade quickly, a small amount of blood covering his hand, he watched in awe as the gaping hole sealed itself up. "Hill get over here!" he snapped, standing up straight and passing her the knife once she was in range, She grabbed the knife and they exchanged some sort of look, because the next thing I know Maria's hand is pouring blood. "Can you heal that?" he asked, nodding towards her hand.
My stomach clenched, "I don't fucking know!" I shouted, my hands catching fire. "I just wanted to show you that I could heal myself, not a whole ass person!" fear crept up my throat, 'what if I can't help her, how deep did she cut herself?' I thought, hands getting brighter, "Calm down Y/n, it's just a test, I didn't cut myself very deep." Maria said softly, her blue eyes calming me slightly. I took a deep breath and willed the flames to go out after a few seconds they vanished. "Let me see your hand." I said, holding my hand out in her direction, she placed her hand in mine and immediately the wound vanished, only an intense throbbing pain transferred to my hand, exactly where she had cut herself, moments later the cut reappeared on my hand.
