Lyra's excitement about her flying lessons began to dissipate when she found out it was with the Gryffindors. She found the Gryffindors to be incredibly annoying, they were always marching around the school like they owned it and refused to hear otherwise.

"I like quidditch" Lyra stated as she summoned her broom to her hand, Pansy smirked.

"I think you'd be a great Quidditch player" she whispered, attempting to get her broom to rise.

"Not as good as me" Draco bragged, "oh I'd be the best" he had his usual smug look on his face. Lyra loved her cousin, she did, but she found him exceptionally annoying.

"Nah I'd be better than you" Blaise threw his broom from hand to hand, a large smile on his face. Lyra found a laugh escaping her lips at his words.

It all happened so suddenly, Neville getting injured, Draco stealing his rememberball and the game of cat and mouse he and Harry soon begun.

Harry Potter drove Lyra crazy. He always pretended to be so perfect and good, always doing the right thing and helping others. She hated it. How could someone actually be as good as they were supposed to be? It made no sense.

Harry eventually got the rememberall back and landed, much to the cheering of the Gryffindors. Draco landed and started complaining about Harry to every Slytherin.

"He's too goody isn't he? Has to be the hero? That's so dumb" Draco huffed, folding his arms.

Draco's complaints became worse when they found out Harry had been selected for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Lyra stopped listening after something along the lines of 'pompous twat'.

The next few weeks consisted of Lyra growing even less fond of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Especially because they appeared to glare at her as though she was the worst thing to ever walk the planet whenever they saw her. In return, she hated them.

All of her lessons were enjoyable, apart from Herbology. She couldn't understand it. No matter how many textbooks she read, no matter how hard she paid attention in every single lesson she went to; it just made no sense whatsoever.

Her friends weren't helpful, they breezed through the lessons and found it ridiculously easy.

"It's easy Lyra, you should just focus" Pansy shrugged as they walked through the school on Halloween. The decorations plastering the Great Hall and corridors. Lyra loved Halloween, it was the night her father disappeared. She liked the fact that her father was gone and could be dead.

"Oh it's easy is it?" She rolled her eyes and folded her arms, Pansy nodded and kept walking.

"I suggest you shut up" Nix glared at Pansy, folding his arms he floated next to them. Pansy groaned and walked off, leaving Lyra walking with Nix. "I don't know why you hang out with that lot" she shrugged,

"They're my friends.... And I have to" she answered, looking down slightly.

"Lyra...." Nix spoke seriously, he never spoke seriously, "you can break from the rules...."

"Oh yeah? And how has that gone for all of you? You're dead, Sirius is in prison..."

"And Andie is happily married with a kid" Nix interjected, Lyra sighed.

"That's a thirty three percent success rate! Leaving the family doesn't work! Breaking from the rules doesn't work! I'm dead if I do...." Nix sighed and floated down to her height, looking in her eyes.

"You can make it Lyra" she rolled her eyes and walked past him, taking her seat in the Great Hall.

Pumpkins and other such decorations of the season were floating around the hall, a scrumptious feast was laid across the table. Pies and meat dishes galore were being rushed onto plates by students.
