Cradling Dhara's face gently in his hands, he spoke in a soft tone, " Dhara, do you know who saved me twice from that gunshot that day? " Samar's words lingered on his lips, carrying a hint of emotion.

Dhara furrowed her brows in confusion and shock, mumbling in response, " R-Reva Jo-Joshi? "

He was taken aback, shocked to hear Reva's name from Dhara's lips for the first time.

Cringing his eyebrows together in both shock and confusion, he whispered, "H-How do you know h-her?"

As he looked at her widened eyes, where shock and confusion were visibly intertwined, she said, "Hukum, because the small girl who extended her hand towards you...was me." With a small smile, she added, surprising even herself with the revelation.

Samar's breath stuck inside his throat after hearing that shocking disclosure. He abruptly stood up, his eyes locked on her, his mind attempting to digest the fact that, once again Dhara had left him stunned, "In between those forty-one girls in that ambulance, whom you rescued that day on the border of Mussurrie, I was the forty-second. Hukum, you saved me again that time, saving me from a life of ruin." She said, her tone filled with gratitude and disbelief.

Before he could fully grasp the revelation and comprehend the situation, she quickly hugged him tightly, saying emotionally, " Hukum, it was you.... Thank you."

Samar was left baffled, standing like an iceberg, still attempting to soak in the reality of what she was revealing to him.

Dhara's tears flowed incessantly upon learning who had saved her life that day. Her arms tightened around Samar, and her sobs grew more intense as she held onto him.

Deep within her heart, she experienced overwhelming happiness and contentment, realizing that her God ( Samar ), her savior had not abandoned her. Indirectly, he had continued to fight for her happiness and protect her from ruin.

In Samar's eyes, the events of that incident from ten years ago replayed, each moment flashing before him. His mind struggled to recall the details and Dhara's face among the girls who had extended her hand towards him.

Although the impact of that incident had reverberated through his life in the years that followed, but the passage of time had made it challenging for him to remember every single detail and the faces of each girl involved.

Despite the difficulty, his mind persistently attempted to piece together the fragments of that pivotal moment in his past.

Only faint, blurred memories and faces floated before his eyes, leaving him unable to distinctly recollect the small girl who had boldly stood up from the group of forty-one others.

She had the only girl, who extended her hand towards him. This was the moment when he sought to calm the frightened and traumatized girls, assuring them of safety after the harrowing incident.

The emotional, poignant plea echoed in his mind, "Please take me home." Those painful words lingered, etched in his memory, but the details of the girl's face remained elusive.

Samar was not one to seek credit or publicity for his actions. He silently carried out his duties and fulfilled his responsibilities without the desire for recognition.

His inclination was towards maintaining a low profile, and he didn't cultivate the habit of remembering every achievement. For him, the fulfillment of duty was its own reward, and he quietly moved forward without seeking the spotlight.

Samar's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, and in the midst of it all, he abruptly broke free from her grasp. Dhara looked at him with confusion, trying to understand what had just transpired.
