Dreamscape would be a fantasy, open-world RPG game. It takes place in the world of Dreamscape. A mysterious magical world created by an unknown divine being known as Matrix Maker. Dreamscape's residents don't remember their past but know they aren't originally from Dreamscape. Though now they live in a world of imagination where they can build a civilization all their own. Onto the Main Story. Or as it's called in the game: Dream Missions.
You first wake up in a place that seems to be in the middle of a starry sky. You see a girl with pure white hair in the center of the room holding a red sword. She slightly looks at you. She unsheathed her sword and with a quick movement slashed at you with it causing cracks in the floor. Then, your falling through the stars. When suddenly you hit what you can only assume is the ground and you're out like a light.
You wake up in the mysterious world of Dreamscape. You don't remember anything about your past. Or where you came from. So you decide to go and look for civilization to look for help. Unfortunately, you find strange monsters instead. Suddenly, a boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes jumps out of the wilderness and attacked the monsters. He yells at you to get behind him and stay there and he easily defeats the monsters with a fierce fight of claws versus the boy's sword. After all the monsters are killed the boy says that this area the two of you are currently in called Whispering Wilds is full of these monsters called Voodoo Dolls. He scolds you for entering the area completely unprepared and without your Nullifier. To which you ask what a Nullifier is. That's when the boy realizes that you're new to Dreamscape. He then introduces himself as Dreamscaper Protection Department Officer: Matthew and explains that a he was just scolding you about not wearing a Nightmare Nullifier. A small device worn by residents of Dreamscape to keep down an evil element known as Shados which can cause residents to gain a disease called Nightmare Syndrome due to a build-up of Nightmare Corruption. But he takes a closer look at you and explains that you don't seem to be affected by Nightmare Corruption at all. In fact you look perfectly healthy. As healthy as someone with a Nullifier. Which is odd because even a Dreamscaper accumulates Nightmare Corruption. You then ask what a Dreamscaper is. Matthew then gestures to his neck where a strange mark is. He calls it the Mark of the Dreamscaper. It gives him special powers to control one of the natural elements of Dreamscape. He then says that you have the mark too. All Dreamscapers have their marks on their necks or hands. You have it on your hand. Then, Matthew realizes the conversation might be going too fast. He asks you for your name (finally). But you can't remember it. So Matthew then ops to call you Dreamscaper until you can remember your name. And if you can't you can choose one you want later on. The two of you then agree to head to the nearest city where Matthew lives. The city of Estreria.
Upon entering the city Matthew remembers that if you're a Dreamscaper you'll need to be registered at the Dreamscaper Protection Department as an official Dreamscaper and resident of Dreamscape or if you ever fight you'll be breaking laws set by Dreamscape's High Dreamer Council. So the two of you head to the headquarters of the DPD to get you registered. While there you're asked to demonstrate your abilities as a Dreamscaper. Specifically your elemental abilities. This is so the DPD knows what element you are. Flaros, Aquos, Gustos, Shocktros, Frostos, Lumos, or Shados. You try to channel your element and suddenly you create a burst of light. Which shocks everybody who sees it. You ask Matthew why people are looking at you like that. He explains that you just used the element of Lumos. A rare element that only appears after ten new arrivals do. But only three new arrivals-not counting you-have appeared since that last Lumos wielding Dreamscaper. But either way you're successfully registered and then you're asked to follow Matthew and the woman who registered you to the combat arena where you can choose a weapon. But as you're walking past a hall full of different weapons a sword starts glowing and so does the mark on your hand. The sword then flies towards you and you instinctively catch it. Matthew runs back towards you asking what that was about. You reply by saying that you don't know. The woman who registered tells you that the sword that flew towards you is supposedly a legendary sword that belonged to the first Dreamscaper. According to legend it only glows like that if the Dreamscaper who catches it is destined to save Dreamscape from a great threat. Matthew cheers and praises you. You continue to the arena as a woman wearing a pure white dress walks into the camera frame. She seemed to be watching the whole thing and said to herself that she needs to keep watching you.
You arrive at the arena where you're put up against training bots to practice your sword skills. You seem to be able to wield your sword perfectly even with zero experience. Like muscle memory. So since you lost your memory you deduce that you must have been some sort of warrior before you arrived in Dreamscape. You and Matthew meet up outside the arena and decide to go meet Matthew's friends at a nearby cafe.
At the cafe you're introduced to DPD Officer: Xingyun and Doctor Eliza. Matthew's friends. The four of you talk and have a nice time. Even if you don't always understand what they're talking about. Matthew then suggests that since they're all Dreamscapers they should form a team together and fight together. Xingyun and Eliza agree and so do you. Thus your team is formed. With you, Matthew, Xingyun, and Eliza.
I haven't thought of more in the Dream Missions yet but a little tidbit there's a five star character that has a lot of lore-importance for Matthew.
Now onto gameplay, weapon types, and characters.
First off the character kits. A character's kit has passive talents but the combat skills are what's important. There's the Normal Attack which there's nothing to say there. Next, we have the Dream Skill and Dream Impact.
Then we have the weapon types. There's swords, gauntlets, scythes, bows, dual swords, and mediums. Everything is what it says on the tin. Though mediums are the catalyst equivalent.
Lastly, we have the characters
First is Matthew, a four star, sword wielding, Aquos aligned character. His Normal Attack deals five instances of Aquos DMG with powerful slashes from his sword. His Dream Skill causes him to leap into the air and crash back down dealing a burst of AOE Aquos DMG while also increasing the team's Crit Rate and Crit DMG. His Dream Impact draws his sword and he deals one big instance of Aquos DMG with a giant slash.
Next is Xingyun, a four star, dual wielding, Flaros aligned character. Her Normal Attack slashes opponents with her dual swords dealing six instances of Flaros DMG. Her Dream Skill summons a Lucky Clover that deals AOE Flaros DMG at certain intervals while applying the Lucky Break status to Xingyun increasing her ATK by a certain amount. Her Dream Impact lets her dash forward dealing an impact of AOE Flaros DMG.
Then we have Eliza, a four star, medium wielding, Frostos aligned character. Her Normal Attack dealing four instances of Frostos DMG. Her Dream Skill summons a ring of snowflakes around her and the active character which give healing at certain intervals. Her Dream Impact creates a small cloud of frost for a few seconds that heals the whole team.
Finally for characters we have Father, a five star, sword wielding, Shados aligned character. His Normal Attack dealing five instances of Shados DMG with his sword. His Dream Skill summons a small void that deals AOE Shados DMG while draining Father's HP. His Dream Impact he summons a pillar of energy dealing AOE Shados DMG the DMG is increased depending on how low his HP is.
So yeah that's Dreamscape. I am actually feeling pretty good about this one even though it will never exist. Heh. ANYWAY. Thanks for reading. If you ever do.
