Chapter 5

Mark loaded his gun and looked around the bunker , he couldn't find any robots , he didn't know if anyone had died. He saw Jamie point his crossbow at his head.

"Put the gun down." he said.

"Like I'm going to take orders from a faggot." Mark said. "Anyway , I only had my gun out because robots could have got in."

"Don't call my brother a faggot." Connor said walking over to them.

"Cute, your defending your boyfriend." Mark said.

Connor struck Mark in the lip , it started to bleed.

"You little shit!" Mark said pushing Connor to the ground.

Isabella stepped in.

"Stop fighting , that's enough!" she shouted.

Mark walked away.

"Next time you won't be so lucky." he said over his shoulder.

  Robert was rushing Sid to the medical facility. He was cleaning his wound when Ellen walked in. Sid was still unconsious.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Ellen asked.

"I think so." Robert said.

"Wanna get outta here?" Ellen asked.

"Only hell yes!" Robert said.

The two walked to Ellen's room.

Two days later , Anton was talking to Amy Challs.

"How's Paul?" Amy asked.

"He's fine , a bit shook up but we are too."

"You were all very brave , I heard how you went back for Sid and how you cleaned Paul's wound , it's all everyone's been talking about since you came back." she said.

"How's Sid?" Anton asked.

"He has been vomitting nearly all day." she replied.

"Robert says he's stable and he is a doctor , Robert , isn't he."

"Yes , but he hasn't acted like one since he's been with that whore Ellen." Amy said.

"You don't like her then."

She started to laugh , she looked at Anton's eyes and moved forward. She put her arms on Anton's shoulders. Anton realised that she was going to kiss him , part of him wanted to kiss her but he decided against it.

"I'm sorry , I can't , I'm with Shelly." exclaimed Anton moving her arms off his shoulders.

She stepped back.

"Oh my god , I'm so sorry , I guess I just - I hope we can still be friends."

"Of course we can." said Anton.

Thomas and Rachel were having lunch.

"We sure were lucky back there , weren't we?" said Rachel drinking her bottle of Coke.

"What do you mean?" asked Thomas with a slightly off cheese sandwich in his mouth.

"Well how they all made it back from the scavenging mission , Paul and Sid were hurt but they'll be okay." she said.

"Do you know what Anton did out there?" she added.

"No what did he do?" Thomas asked.

"He went back for Sid when he got injured and he stopped Paul's wound from getting infected." she said.

" Very heroic." Thomas said.

"But this is no time for heroes."  Rachel said.

David and Gary were at the shooting range.

"I'll tell ya , fifteen years in the forces , lost an eye in Afghanistan and now this shit!" Gary said.

"Well there's nothing that can be done other than sending those metal bastards down to hell." David said shooting one of the targets in the head.

"Speaking of which , someone up there has a thing for me." Gary said.

"Does a girl like you or something?"

"I'm talking about God, dumbass."

"Still believe in God , huh?" David asked.

"I don't know." Gary said.
