I was having a blast with my friend in the cafeteria, munching away a delicious burger. But just like that, the universe decided to play a cruel joke on me and everything changed in an instant.

I found myself sprinting out of the university with a not so stranger man, who seemed to have no regard for personal space as he dragged me along. Tears were streaming down my face, and I couldn't understand what was happening.

As we were about to get into his car, we heard the a gunshot rang out. Yes, you heard that right, a gunshot. You can imagine my shock an terror as I stood there shaking like a leaf.

What on earth did I do to deserve this? I thought to myself, paralysed with fear.

"What the hell, woman? Get inside", he yelled and tossed me into the car before speeding off. My sobs only seemed to intensify, and all I wanted was to go home and see my baba.

I looked over to him, who was driving with one hand and constantly looking back at the road. I turned my head and noticed that we were being followed by other cars. Oh god, they're after us. Panic and fear consumed me and I couldn't stop crying.

"Please take me home", I manage to mumble through my hiccups, looking at the man with pleading eyes.

"I can't take you home now. They're following us, can't you see", he replied, giving me a glare.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his sarcasm. "No, I just want to go home. Mujhe baba ke pass jana hai", I repeated, my hiccuping making it difficult to speak.

"Can you please shut up for a while and stop crying like a kid? Mujhe baba ke pass jana hai", he mimicked my words, and I can't believe the nerve of this man.

Suddenly, our car collided with another one, and I couldn't help but think that this was it, this was how I was going to die.

"What the hell was that?", I said through my gritted teeth.

"Hehe wow, what a roller coaster ride", he said sarcastically, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "And look we have company following us", he shouted, gripping the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white.

I just roll my eyes at his reply.

"Wow, such childish behaviour", he muttered, glancing at me.

"Where's my friend?", I asked, trying to hold back my tears.

He didn't answer me, but insisted, started driving even faster. I couldn't help but take these were going to be my last moments on earth.

"Where's my friends?", I shouted, punching him on the shoulder. Suddenly he squeezed my shoulder tightly and shouted on my face. "Shut up!, if you make a sound, I'll ask my guards to shoot your friend!".

My heart dropped at his work, and I zipped my mouth shut, tears streaming down my face once again. All I could do was sit there and cry as we continued our dangerous escape. What a day, huh? From enjoying a burger in a peaceful cafeteria to being in a car chase with a man and the armed guards. Life can be so unpredictable.
