Ashlyn woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. Not once, not twice, not three times, but four times she was woken by this. She leaned over to grab her phone, seeing Sarah's name on the screen.
"What, Sarah." Ashlyn says, yawning.
"Heyyyy Ash, my dad and Rose went to the mainland for the weekend. Wanna come over??" Sarah asks Ashlyn. "Yeah, sure, I'll be there in 20" Ashlyn says, hanging up the call.

Ashlyn and Sarah have been best friends since the fourth grade. They've had countless sleepovers and been to many parties together. Sarah always invites Ashlyn over when she needs to talk about her boyfriend, Topper, or when she just wants to have someone over.

Ashlyn has a brother, Zach. He's friends with Topper, Rafe, Kelce, and all of the other Kooks. Ashlyn was born kook but loves to hang out with Kiara and Pope, John B and JJ don't entirely interest her, but she still hangs out with them anyway. Ashlyns phone starts buzzing again as she's curling her lashes.

She felt bad for ditching her friends but she already made the commitment to hang out with Sarah today.
Ashlyn put on a pair of jean shorts and a halter top, packed a bag with a swim suit, towel, and other things she knew she would need.

When she arrived at Sarah's, she noticed that Rafes' bike was in the driveway. She walked in was greeted by Sarah's younger sister, Wheezie. "Sarah's in the kitchen." she said. "Thanks wheeze!!" Ashlyn said back going to see her friend. "Finally!!" Sarah yells and giving Ashlyn a hug.
"What do you wanna watch??" Sarah says cutting on the TV. "Hmm, what about Never Have I Ever???" Sarah nods her head in agreement, and they watch the show while eating their snacks.

After a while they heard someone coming down the stairs. Rafe walks into the living room and sees the pair watching their show. "You again?" he says. Causing Ashlyn to roll her eyes. "Well, I'm so sorry that Sarah invited me over Rafe." He walks out rolling his eyes.

After a little while the girls went upstairs to Sarah's room just talking and listening to music. "What are you wearing for midsummers?" Sarah questions. "I don't know know, probably my light blue dress." Ashlyn answers. "Ooo yes wear that one it looks so good on you." Sarah responds back.

"Bathroom is where it always is" Sarah tells her, Ashlyn responds by nodding her head. She walks up to the door and someone's in there. When she was about to knock the door flung open and she was met face-to-chest with none other than Rafe Cameron. "Sorry my showers been acting weird" he says as he's walking away.

Before she could answer he was in his room. The hot water hits her body and she realizes that she is thinking about Rafe and did this for the enite 45 minutes she was in the shower. Why was she thinking about Rafe? He hates her. He's always been mean to her and Sarah. Every sleepover, every beach trip, every party. Why does she think about him like this now?

She peeked out of the bathroom door checking for anyone roaming the halls. When she got to Sarah's room she did her skin care and headed to bed.

After a while she discovered she couldn't sleep she decided to go downstairs. She grabbed her water and her candy and headed downstairs. she sat at the kitchen island scrolling through her phone. She heard someone coming downstairs, "And what exactly are you doing Rafe?" she questioned him. "Why do you care?" he questioned back. Rolling her eyes she said "Jeez im just asking no need to be rude." He walked over spotting the candy and taking some causing him to tower over her, giving her butterflies. "Seriously?" Ashlyn said, "What you weren't eating it." He says back.

Ashlyn grabbed her water and candy and headed back upstairs, leaving Rafe. She carefully climbed back into bed trying not to wake Sarah.

The next morning she woke up and headed downstairs with Sarah. They discovered Rafe in the kitchen making breakfast. "Good morning sleepy heads" he says while the girls flip him off. Sarah and Ashlyn decided to go swimming for now.

Sarah started talking about her and Topper which ashlyn didn't mind. Her mind was still on last night's interaction with Rafe. "We need to get you a boyfriend girl" Sarah says. "And who exactly do you have in mind" Ashlyn responds. "I don't know, Kelce?" Ashlyn shakes her head side to side."He's cute just not my type." she says. "Well there's my brother, if yall get married then you would be my sister." Sarah says laughing. "That'd be fun, I guess your brothers cute." Ashlyn says back.

"You're not the first to tell me that. But I think you guys would be cute together, I've seen how he looks at you." Sarah says in response. "Hey Sarah I'm heading out with Zach and the others." Rafe says walking by. "Okay see you later then." Sarah says waving goodbye. "Are yall coming to the beach party tonight?" Rafe asks them. Both girls nod in response.

"Okay see yall there then" Rafe says
Both girls get out of the pool to get ready.

"You guys would be cute together" Are the words still echoing in her mind.
