Rafe, Zach, Topper, and Kelce picked the girls up. They ended uo taking separate cars because there were too many people to try and fit in one car. Sarah and Topper rode in Toppers car, Kelce and Zach rode in Zach's car, and that left Ashlyn to ride with Rafe. Rolling her eyes, she opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat. She looked out the window watching all the homes on figure eight pass. The car ride was silent so far, the only thing filling the silence was the radio. As she watched the houses pass she was still thinking about Sarah's words from earlier.
"You guys would be cute together. I see the way he looks at you" What did Sarah mean by "the way he looks at you" clearly she was thinking too hard when she heard Rafe say "Hello?? Ashlyn are you even listening?" She looked over to him "Sorry, I zoned out. What were you saying?" She asked, "I was asking you what you were wearing for midsummers." he said. "And whye xactly do you wanna know Cameron?" she questioned him. "Just because- " he stuttered. "Well I'm not telling you, you'll find out then." She says.
A few minutes later they arrived to the beach. Ashlyn pulls out her phone to text Sarah that they are here. Just as shes about to open her door she sees that its already open and Rafe is standing there waiting for her to get out. "Come on." he says impatiently. "oh my god" she thinks to herself. "If you wanna go home come and find me, I wont have anything tonight since I'm driving" he says to her. "Okay" she says in response. They find Sarah and Topper and head over to where everyone is. Sarah grabs Ashlyns arm and pulls her over "What took so long to get over here?" she questions, "Rafe was just telling me to find him if I wanna go home" Ashlyn answers. They go and get drinks, "Hey imma go say hey to Kie and Pope." Ashlyn says. "Hey guys!!" She says as shes approaching. "Heyy!!' Kie says with excitment. She gives both Kie and Pope a hug. "Hey JJ, Hey John B" she says to them. "Hey" they both say back.
She stays and talks to the pogues for a little while before heading back over to Sarah who is now on the lifeguard chair pointing to something in the ocean. "Come on babe, get down" Topper says helping her down. Ashlyn grabs another drink and head back over to the group. Rafe and Zach are talking about something away from the group so they start making plans to hang out tomorrow. "Kelce you should bring Katy." Topper says "Gee thanks top another couple i have to third wheel" Ashlyn says sarcastically. They all laugh.
It's late and Ashlyn is ready to head out so she goes to look for Rafe. It took her a few minutes but she eventually found him with her brother playing corn hole. "Hey I'm ready to head out." she says to Rafe. "Okay lets go then. Sorry guys." he says grabbing the keys out of his pocket. "Thank you for taking me home" she says. "Anytime." he says. When they pull up to the Cameron's she steps out onto the gravel driveway walking inside. "Are you hungry?" Rafe asks. "Yes, I am" she answers. "Okay you go upstairs and shower and stuff. I'll make you something to eat" he says.
She heads upstairs and grabs athletic shorts and a hoodie. She heads downstairs and sees Rafe putting a grilled cheese onto a plate for her. "Thank you." she says "You're welcome." He says back. He stays with her to keep her company. Her phone buzzes and she sees texts from Sarah coming in.

She sighs as she shuts off her phone. Rafe looks up, "What? Whats wrong?" he asks. "Nothing Sarah is staying at top's tonight." She says. "Thanks for the food Rafe goodnight." she says, "Night ash." he says back.
Ashlyn heads upstairs and gets under the covers to head to sleep. In the middle of the night she wakes up to hear the TV on downstairs. She slowly walks down to see whos there and she sees Rafe asleep on the couch with the TV playing some show she doesn't know. She sighs as she grabs the remote and cuts of the TV and heads back upstairs.

Ashlyn wakes up to get ready to head out on the Druthers. She puts on a purple bikini and puts one of her favorite t-shirts on over it. She slides on her birks to go help Rafe get everything out on the boat. "Good morning!" she says as shes walking down the stairs "good morning sleepy head" he says letting out a chuckle as she slaps his arm lightly. "Will you help be grab the cooler" He says.
As they carried the cooler out Sarah, Topper, Kelce, and Katy all arrived. Sarah, Ashlyn, and Katy sat out on the lounge chairs to tan. "So Ashlyn, are you gonna get with Rafe?" Sarah asks. Ashlyn feels her stomach start to turn "I don't know Sarah, last night we barely talked, very nonchalant to me." she responds. "Well I think you should, hes been staring at you all day." Katy says. Ashlyn rolls her eyes and goes back to reading her book.
Ashlyn feels her phone buzz and the text is from and unknown number.

She looks back and he's smiling, she gives him a glare and goes back to talking to the girls. When they came back to the Cameron's they decided to watch a movie. The girls went up to change and Ashlyn put on a black crop and her butterfly shorts. Of course the two couples sat together and Zach ended up inviting his girlfriend, Liza over. Ashlyn was left to sit next to Rafe. The boys let the girls pick the movie, and they picked ended up picking Barbie. Halfway through the movie, Ashlyn looked over to Rafe, who was very invested in what was happening. "You like it?" she whispered in his ear, "Eh." he whispered back, "Really? because you seem very invested, " she whispered back. He lets out a chuckle and continued to watch the movie.
Once the movie finished, everyone decided to just stay the night. Of course, Topper wouldn't let Ashlyn stay with Sarah. The guest rooms were taken, and she debated sleeping on the couch. Rafe didn't let he, though. "Just sleep in my room, I'll sleep on the floor if it makes you feel better." he sai,"Youu don't have to sleep on the floo. Youu have a big enough bed for both of us." Ashlyn went to her room to grab her pajamas and headed over to Rafe's room. He was in the shower when she got i, so she got under the covers and scrolled through Instagram. He came out of the bathroom and got in bed. "Goodnight Ash." he said. "Goodnight Rafe." She said, pulling the covers up higher. He noticed she was shivering after a little while and got up to turn the AC down and get her a hoodie. 'Here,' he said, tossing her the hoodie. "Thanks." she said, putting it on.
"Maybe he isn't as mean as I thought," She thought to herself. Then it started to storm, Ashlyn hates storms, shes hated them since she was about 10. Rafe knew this since he's known her since she was 5. "It's okay. We're safe." He said, turning to face her. "Yeah. I know, " she said, looking out the window. He noticed she was getting more nervous and pulled her in closer, "It's okay, I promise." She fell asleep after a while. He ended up falling asleep about 30 minutes later.
A/N: This was a lot longer than i thought(1350 ish words), but I hope you enjoyed it. I'll write more tomorrow, midsummers chapter will probably be chapter 4 or 5,
