Bahia, February 2023 - Victoria Marino
- You don't have to be rude with me, Victoria. - He says, almost taking his hands off the steering wheel - If you want to make this plan work, we at least need to pretend to be good with eachother.
I end up sighing, understanding that he may be right. But only this time.
- What have you been up to? - I ask, trying to break the ice.
- Well, work.
I chuckle, remembering what I saw the other day with Jeremy in Los Angeles.
- That doesn't seem like it - I whisper, turning my head to face the window.
- What do you mean by that? - He asks, sounding a bit offended.
- That lately you've been too busy cheating on me rather than actually working. - I deadpan.
- Oh, innocent little girl. - He looks in front, smilling. - Did you really think that I wouldn't find out about you and Carlos?
Now, I'm sitting eyes wide-open. I thought that Carlos would keep it a secret. I'm going to kill him.
- Yeah, he told me all about it. - He cleared his throat - Do you know how hard it is to hear from other people's mouths that I am the cheater in this relationship?
- What relationship, darling? The one you fucked up? - I look at him with my mouth wide-opened - At least you're not the cheated on here. Because that's what everyone uses to hate on me now.
He nods his head, trying to shut my mouth.
We spent the rest of the drive in silence, not really knowing what to say or do.
This is simply weird.

My world fell apart when I saw Victoria coming in my direction, in that dress, looking like that. She had no right to be looking so good.
For a few seconds, when I saw that smirk on her lips, I thought that this day would be as good as possible.
Turns out that I was wrong. She decided to point out every single mistake I've done since I was born and use it as an argument in this little fight that we were having. Every second, I just wanted to shut her up, kissing her lips.
This time that we've been away from eachother, this single month, made her look a bit different. Even though we are now in summer, her hair is a bit darker, her skin is lighter and her face looks skinnier than before. That leaves me wondering if she has been taking care of herself properly. Not that I don't trust her, but there is this sour feeling in the back of my mouth that tells me that she is not good. In every possible way.
I hope that Jeremy had his eyes on her the whole time. That's all I ask for.
We arrive at the wedding venue and I get out of the car, going around it to open her door. I offer her my hand and she accepts it, looking like she was being forced to do so.
I cough, trying to make her realise that if she kept acting like she was forced to do everything, the plan wouldn't work out. She faked me a smile as we walked into the venue. I see Lando and Carlos waving at us and she waves back at them. And it starts now.

I don't really know if I can cope with this strange feeling inside of me. I think that it is better if I bury my body right now than being in between my 3 ex's. Literally. And they don't really know nothing about it.
