The house sat still, its walls covered in a calming darkness a hint of the bright moons lighting peeking through the houses semi- see through curtains while the tv played, the voices on screen seemed to blur together becoming nothing but mumbles to the two boys as they lay on the couch both of them exhausted but neither one of them wanting to get up because of said exhaustion. "Richie" Eddie mumbles towards the taller boy but no answer comes from him only his faint breathing, forcing his eyes to peel open he looks over at Richie finding his head thrown back against the couch his mouth parted soft snores escaping his throat. "Rich" Eddie groans louder tapping the teen with his foot only earning a small groan, "God why do you have to be such a heavy sleeper?" Eddie thinks to himself pushing his body up letting out a small grunt his back tensing from the uncomfortable position he had been laying in for the past few hours. "Richard wake the hell up" He says again this time his voice sterner as he shook him rougher, "Richard? Who are you my mom now?" Richie chuckles turning his head now looking at Eddie not a hint of tiredness in his eyes, "You weren't even sleeping! Dick head"

"I was resting my eyes"

"Can we rest our eyes upstairs? My back hurts"

"Okay you old man, let's go" Richie teases rising to his feet holding one of his hands out to help Eddie off the couch, he holds onto his hand pulling himself back onto his feet with another grunt "Old man? Seriously"

"What? You're only sixteen and already complaining about muscle pains"

"Which are normal things for kids to get to dude, you give my brain a muscle pain every time I'm with you" Eddie shrugs, his sudden snarky come back makes Richie gasp harshly planting his hands on Eddie's shoulders "I am teaching you well!"

"Hey! I'm just funny on my own I don't need lessons from you"

"Whatever you say Ed's" Richie shrugs, the two quietly move down the hallway trying to stay as silent as they could not wanting to wake Richie's dad, Richie had made that mistake a few times and soon found out that his normally cool and laid-back dad was the opposite when he gets woken up... The two scurry into Richie's room closing the door behind them, "Where are your blankets?" Eddie asks searching through his room trying to avoid finding anything weird while trying to spot some of his spare blankets, "On the bed"

"Richie, I meant-"

"I know what you meant dummy, but you can crash in my bed I don't care"

"But it's your bed!"

"Eddie if you don't fucking take the bed, I swear I will tape you to it!"

The two fall silent staring at each other before a small smirk grows on Eddie's face "Kinky" is all he says, it's takes Richie a few seconds for his words to settle in but once they do he turns his head averting his gaze trying to stifle a laugh but ends up failing a burst of laughter escaping him causing him to clutch his side. "Maybe you are hanging out with me too much"

"Well sadly I think the idiot effects have already set in, I'm a lost cause"

"Aw you're not a lost cause, you are just changing more into me which let me tell you is awesome" Richie smirks, Eddie looks at him before looking back down at the bed which was big enough for two people "Dude let's just share the thing, but if you and your noddle legs end up kicking me I'm smothering you with the fucking pillow"

"Jeez, yes sir I will keep my noddle limbs in check"

After the bickering had finally settled the two slides into their sides of the bed, Eddie cast another glance at his watch as he slides it onto the night table... It felt weird looking at it after everything that had happened, his mom had installed a life 360 for him and deep down he wondered if she had been watching where he was going... "Earth to Ed's" Richie says waving his large hand in front of his face making Eddie turn his head to look at him, His glasses had been removed from his face as he used his shirt to clean the smudges off of the glass. "What sorry?"
