I dragged Ashton down into the basement, having a room already prepared for this in an unfortunate situation like this one. It's really such a shame. I watched him go from this scrawny, stoner kid. A kid who was bullied so much for being trans and who shared an interest in rock music with me. He was, no, is the love of my life. We'll be 19 this year and we're already married and have three beautiful children.

I knocked Ashton out, messier than I intended. I do not want to kill him. It would be too suspicious. The kids would have questions too. Especially Arthur.

I sat Ashton in a chair and tied him up. I don't know how we'll recover from this.

I reclined the chair back so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable. I patched up his wound and then bandaged mine. I sat on a chair beside him and held his hand. Giving it an occasional kiss.

He woke up, frightened but looked at me. His eyes widened as he realized his hands were bound. He looked at his legs then back at me with horror. I would assume he's upset with me but I knew that look in his eyes and what he was saying.

"You were only out for 15 minutes, I didn't take advantage of you dear. I'm not rude." I said before leaning down and kissing his forehead.

"Mick.." He said. "I-I'm sorry."

"Our actions have consequences." I tutted. "You never listen to me, do you?"

He remained silent.

"I told you that my father would never hurt the kids. I told you that no matter what I wanted him to meet his grandchildren at least once."

Ashton nodded.

"And if I recall, wasn't it Papa who agreed to take you in? After your shitty adopted parents showed themselves to be no better than any other bigot?"

"Yes.." Ashton retaliated.

"It was one time. One time that he even mentioned eating you. You were rude. I warned you so to protect you." I said looking him in this eyes.

"If anything he said that to me so I would get scared and teach you better." I sat back down.

"I-I."

"It worked, because is Papa wanted to eat you for your rude behavior he would not have told me. You would not have known. You would be gone." I snapped. "You never listen to me Ashton. I haven't killed anyone since. I don't feed people human flesh. I am nothing like him."

"I'm sorry Mick." Ashton stuttered. "Being away for the kids I've been so focused on their safety."

"You tried to call Jack. And betray me. You want to explain to a four year old where his Daddy went? You do realize that even though we're married only 25% of my assets would go to you? The manor and the castle go to the children."

Ashton looked at me confused.

"I didn't think you'd give me any at all."

"Of course I would darling." I said before kissing his cheek.  "Just not enough."

Ashton's face turned to a puzzled look.

"So I suggest that if you want our kids to not grow up holding cardboard signs asking for spare change just because you decided to snitch on their dear old Dad then get your act together, whether you like it or not you've eaten it too. And you didn't care." I reminded him. "You'd be an accomplice. Good enough to arrest too."

I started walking around the chair. Pacing.

"In that case.. our kids would be put into foster care." I remarked. "Hope it's not the one that takes the kids to the Verger farm every summer." I said patting his shoulder.

Tears began to flow down his face.

"Now, I'm going to untie you. This never happened."

"I understand." He said, a tone of defeat. I untied him and gave him a hug. Kissing him repeatedly.

We went upstairs and to Arthur's room where he showed us the drawing of him and Papa. Ashton gave a weak smile.

"Do you like it Mama?" Arthur asked.

"I think it's beautiful dear."

"Did you brush your teeth?" I asked.

"Yes Daddy." He said showing me his teeth. "It's bedtime bud, how about your fire truck pjs tonight?" I suggested.

"Yes!" He said jumping up and down.

Ashton tucked him in as I stood in the doorframe. Smiling. My boys. I loved them so much.

I went and checked on the twins, changed a diaper and they went back to sleep.

Ashton closed the door to Arthur's room and looked at me. I looked at him.

"I'm sorry." I blurted.

"I forgive you." He said. "I should have thought about not having any family before preventing the babies from seeing him."

"He's locked up and heavily monitored. Even if he wanted to which I know he doesn't. He couldn't. I'd put myself in the way and a guard would take over." I said as we walked to our room. Papa's room.

I laid down on the bed and snuggled Ashton in my arms.

"Goodnight my love." I said.

"Goodnight sweetheart." He replied, before giving me a kiss.
