From concept art to full canvas. I wanted to give a proper introduction to some of my more based concepts and redesign a few characters to better enhance their physiology and their mythos. For Eclipse and Balerion, Egyptian and Mayan mythologies drew inspiration.
Tyrus was always a character I aimed to redesign from his original form. Because Balerion is meant to be the more primitive, hazardous nation filled with monstrous creatures besides the Titans, I wanted to recreate elements of adapting to environments in a world filled with Ancient energy, hence Tyrus having a Great Form with a heightened camouflaging sense. It also felt prudent that they would need defence mechanisms should they not be able to conceal themselves, so I decided to give him an organic arm blade that could be contained within his forearms (Imagine a bat's wing unfolding from its arm).
For Eclipse, as the Realm where honour and violence are the ways of the Ecliptean people, there also needed to be a place of beauty untouched by war...and a god to guard it. And so I drew Cain again...deep in the depths of the Ocean...watching on in the shadows.
