It's Premiere Day! I can't wait to watch the first episode of this season and see what my Spelivia has been up to, and how close/different it is from the fan fiction (Haha).

Anyway, enjoy the chapter (and the episode)! Love X

OLIVIA

My mother had been out of the hospital for three weeks, and things were finally starting to look up again. She was recovering and resting, and Spencer and I were slowly getting back to normal.

He was still acting a bit strange sometimes, but I knew that it was just the getting used to being together again phase. I was often at our apartment, where I started spending two nights a week, to slowly recreate our safe space.

Spencer still needed to show me his commitment, before I felt safe enough to fully come back. In the meantime, I needed to show up for him just as much and support his events and games.

One day while he was at a brand event with Nike, Coop, Patience, Kia, and I decided to surprise him by showing up. We all met up at the entrance a few minutes before it started.

"He's going to be so happy!" I said, feeling excited.

Coop chuckled at my expression.

"I'm so glad you guys are doing better." Kia expressed.

"Me too." I agreed.

As we walked into the venue, we could automatically spot him on the stage with a few other athletes. We sat down somewhere we could see him well enough to take pictures and videos. We wanted the surprise to be epic, but most of all, for him to feel supported.

I looked around, searching for Ryder to coordinate with her team, but she was nowhere to be found. After the forty-minute exchange, the athletes got down from the stage for a photo OP, and that was when we finally walked over to him.

"Spencer James' number one fans are in the building!" Coop exclaimed, making him turn around.

As soon as he saw us, he immediately lit up and a huge smile popped out from his face. My heart melted from his reaction, finding it so rewarding.

"Hey, Superstar!" I said, pulling him in for a kiss.

He smiled a bit when I did, obviously appreciating the affectionate gesture.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"We came to support you, duh!" Kia replied. "Our very own superstar."

"Stop playing." He reacted, laughing.

"Okay, it's not that I don't love you, Spence, but I have a few autographs to ask for. See you!" Patience exclaimed, heading towards LeBron James' booth.

"Damn... they always leave us for LeBron." Coop joked, making the group laugh.

After taking a few photos with him, we stepped aside to wait as he conversed with his fans. I looked at him maneuver his new-found celebrity and felt proud of him.

"I'll go get Patience before she really leaves me for a bald-headed athlete," Coop stated.

"And I want Savannah James' autograph, so let's go!" Kia added.
