SPENCER

I woke up at 4 AM that morning, feeling like I needed to blow off steam from the previous night. On one hand, I was more than happy to have finally found my way back to the love of my life, but on the other hand, I felt like the biggest disappointment for lying to her.

Looking at her sleeping next to me, knowing the truth, hurt me to my core. I was not that person, and I needed to come clean to Olivia.

I knew first hand what lies and keeping secrets did to our dynamic in the past.

Coming back from my morning jog that day did not feel as good as I thought it would have.

"Hey, Babe! You went out early today."

I walked further into our apartment only to find Olivia standing by the stove, cooking some food. The sight in itself was special, because it had been so long since I last witnessed it.

"I missed this." I let out, honestly.

Olivia smiled at my remark, before walking over to me. She pursed her lips up in my direction, going in for a sweet peck. I gladly accepted it, before leaving another one on her right cheek.

"What are you cooking?"

"Come on, Spencer. Out of the two food options I know how to cook, take a wild guess." She replied, giggling.

"I don't know, maybe you've gotten better after playing house with Darnell for two months." I teased her.

She opened her mouth in shock, visibly surprised at my joke. Loving the reaction, I burst out laughing and left one more kiss on her lips.

"I'm going to shower."

As soon as I said those words, Olivia turned the stove off, placed the eggs and bacon on a plate and turned towards me.

"I need to take one too. Let's go!" She replied, smiling mischievously.

"Liv... I really need to shower." I attempted.

"Me too! Are you afraid that something might happen if we're left alone in there? Don't you trust yourself?"

It was her turn to tease me.

"Not around you." I stated, truthfully.

She let out a pearly laughter, obviously loving the fun banter. I knew what my woman liked.

"Good." She added before pulling me towards the bathroom.

OLIVIA

"Hello!"

I sashayed my way into Darnell's home, feeling good about myself. My day had started in the best possible way, after all.

"Well, somebody sounds happy this morning. Where were you last night, young lady?" He asked, coming out from his room.

"With my man, Dad!" I joked.

We both laughed before heading towards the living room.

"How was the surprise?"

"Weird at first. Spencer acted so bizarre, for some reason."

"Maybe he was nervous." Darnell suggested.

"No, there was something else, but he eventually relaxed and we had a good time."

"I bet you did. Anyways, I'm going to be at practice the whole day, so don't move out without saying goodbye."

"Don't worry, I'm not moving out just yet." I told him.
