Draculaura took the book from Lagoona and read a couple pages
Draculaura: I can't believe you went back to that school for this
Lagoona: I didn't finish it! it would have been $6.99 I never would have gotten back!
Draculaura rolls her eyes
Draculaura: whatever...
Frankie suddenly took the book from Draculaura
Draculaura: Hey!
Frankie: you have to share!
Frankie turned the page when a whimper was heard
Frankie: whimper all you want, I am not giving this back until I'm done babe
Draculaura: I'm not whimpering, I think it's coming from outside
Lagoona: werewolves whimper, could Selena have given birth?
Draculaura: no! it's way too early and even if that did happen, we would hear cries not whimpers, along with Selena screaming
they all heard the noises coming from outside, they walked outside and Draculaura looked in a bush and pulled out a baby puppy
Draculaura: *gasp* It's A Baby!
Frankie: I didn't know dogs were that ugly
Lagoona: Frankie!
Frankie: what? Selena told me most babies are ugly when born!
Draculaura rolls her eyes and gently strokes the animal who whimpers, Draculaura stands back up and looks around to try and find its mother and siblings. she hears noises behind a tree and gets jumped by a feral but Frankie grabs some rope and ties it on a tree
Draculaura: remind me to never come to this side of the forest
she continues to look around but finds nothing
Draculaura: did your mother and siblings really abandon you?
Frankie: isn't there a place we can take it?
Draculaura: every vet and shelter is abandoned, because we're in an apocalypse
Frankie: oh yeah, well.. can we keep her?
Draculaura: taking care of an animal is very hard work and we have no dog food
Frankie: please? the baby will need someone to play with when we're busy
Draculaura: I... *Sigh* fine, but lets make sure no one is allergic, but if that baby is allergic, I don't know what we will do...
INSIDE
Selena gently stroked the puppy's back while it drank some water
Selena: I'm okay if this little angel wants to stay
Cleo: yeah it's so cute!
Deuce: cool with me
Lagoona: at least we have some more meat in case food runs short
they all stare at Lagoona who chuckles nervously before leaving the room
Hollow: I had a dog back home, it can pretty much eat any food except for chocolate, onions, raisins, milk, nuts, garlic and mushrooms
Frankie: well good thing we have lots of meat then!
Draculaura: okay there is no way you knew all that from the top of your head Willow
Hollow throws her a book about dogs
Hollow: read it, stole it from that library we went to yesterday
Draculaura: okay? *gives puppy to Mai* hold her please
Mai: what?
Draculaura turns the pages
Draculaura: this could be a guide on how to care for it, I wish we picked up a book on how to raise babies
Mai started to freak out
Mai: It's Moving! It Feels So Warm And Weird
Draculaura: Aha! we need to keep it warm since it's body can't warm itself up yet, so Mai keep holding her
Mai groans
Draculaura: give the puppy either a milk replacement or water, well then it has to be water... can baby formula work?
Mai: It's Peeing On Me!
Draculaura puts the book on a table and takes the puppy back. her and Frankie look at each other
LATER
Selena yawned and left her room to use the bathroom when she saw Draculaura still awake and petting the sleeping puppy. Selena sat next to Draculaura
Selena: are you okay?
Draculaura: no... it's just, this puppy is kinda like what your baby will be, small, weak and helpless, what if I can't protect it?
Selena: I'm sure you will do an amazing job, you'll be like a second mom to it
Draculaura chuckles a bit
Draculaura: thanks
Selena gives Draculaura a small hug and takes the puppy
Selena: I'll let her sleep with me. good-fright
Draculaura: fright
Draculaura goes to her bed and lays down and soon falls asleep
THE NEXT NIGHT
Draculaura yawns and leaves her room and heads to the kitchen to see Deuce and Lagoona feeding the puppy with Hollow's help
Hollow: you can't feed a baby puppy Toast!
Deuce: why not?
Lagoona: it has no teeth yet!
Deuce: fine, I'll get some water
Draculaura chuckles and enters the kitchen
Draculaura: how is she doing?
Hollow: great, her eyes are open
Draculaura smiles seeing the puppy's purple eyes
Draculaura: does it have a name yet?
Selena: yes
Selena comes into the kitchen and places the dirty cup into the sink
Selena: Crescent is her name
Draculaura: I like crescent
Draculaura pets the puppy and chuckles as she snuggles her finger
