Patty was at the Briar Patch trying to train Ross.
She had a bone and one of Jeremy's shoes in front of her for the first lesson.
"Okay, Ross. I'm the alpha-dog, so do as I do. Shoe bad, bone good. Now go to the bone!" she said.
But Ross went for the shoe.
"No, Ross, bad!" said Patty. "What is it about this shoe that you like so much?"
She actually licked Jeremy's shoe. "Wow! I knew Jeremy had good taste in shoes, but I never knew he had shoes that taste great."
Then she snapped out of it. "Wait, what kind of example am I setting? Bad Patty, bad!"
Later, she was trying to train Ross how to act towards Brer Rabbit.
"Now, Ross. Brer Rabbit is a friend. And if you want a tasty treat, this is how we act around him."
She hugged a stuffed rabbit. "Ri ruv you, Rare Rabbit!"
Then she talked in her own voice. "Now I get a treat."
Patty ate a dog treat. "Ugh! Gross! I'll need to wash it down with some shoe."
She went to lick Jeremy's shoe again, then looked at Ross. "Don't judge me."
That evening, Brer Bear had just won a beanbag toss game.
"Good job, Brer Bear! That's thirty-two wins in a row" said Burt.
"We must stop for dinner, but if you win tomorrow, you'll set the Splash Record for most consecutive victories" said Chad.
"Why, dat'll be mighty satisfactual. An' I knows jes' who I wanna beat. Mister Splash Rec'd hisself. Brer Burt" said Brer Bear.
Now Burt was a little worried. "Brer Bear... I don't wanna play you."
"Why not? Is you scared?" said Brer Bear.
Burt laughed. "The producer once made me lay on a wooden board with tigers jumping at me. I'm not scared."
"I'm actually now a bit scared that we live on the same mountain" Chad cringed.
"Look. I'm really good at this game" said Burt to Brer Bear. "I was on the fourth grade team. Our motto was 'throw it in the hole or get thrown in the hole'."
"Ma motto iz, f'no one smelt it, no one dealt it" said Brer Bear.
Chad laughed. "Brer Bear, that doesn't really apply here."
