FORGOTTEN LEGENDS TRAILER
(Black screen. In the distance, thunder can be heard. Lightning flashes through a nearby cloud and then everything is dark once more).
Clouddusk: The universe has moved on since the Winged Five...
(Another flash of lightning. A silhouette of a dragon can be seen hovering behind a cloud. A roar is heard off screen and a third strike of lightning strikes. This one hits a dragon who instantly absorbs it into his wings and turns to shoot it at an oncoming attacker, sending the latter plummeting to the earth. Moments later, the first is tackled and go flying out of the scene).
Clouddusk: There are no more heroes on Dragnaple.
(SCENE CUT: A dark forest in which three dragons stand. A large gray dragon, Clouddusk, towers over two smaller hatchlings).
Clouddusk: Destiny does not work in the way we sometime wish. It has this tendency to...morph...in ways that we can not expect. *pauses and turns to face someone off screen* Darkwhisperer has returned.
(SCENE CUT to a blackened and stormy sky. Lightning. Out of the darkness, a black dragon appears, amber eyes gleaming as a fourth and final flash of lightning fills the sky, the beast vanishes into the wind).
It seems the time has come for a new generation of Defenders to rise.
(SCENE CUT: A blue hatchling, Cloud, stands beside the water, watching in awe as it leaped into the air and swirled in a figure eight).
Coal (off-screen): *shouts* You're the Defender of the Sea!
(CUT to a hollow where Cloud and four other hatchlings stand).
Clouddusk: You five have been selected to become the next generation of heroes...
(SCENE CUT. A red hatchling bounds forward, wings held high. Behind him, the trees and grass burst into flames. SCENE CUT. A yellow hatchling leaps into the air and smashes down hard against the earth, causing a rift to appear. SCENE CUT. A green hatchling lifts his talons as electricity crackles through them. He smiles, turning to look at something offscreen. SCENE CUT. A pink hatchling raises a glowing talon and a glowing wing, then proceeds to illuminate the entire clearing. Everything goes white).
Clouddusk (at the same time): Your mission is to find Darkwhisperer and bring him back to the Dark Realm before he can gain enough strength to destroy the galaxy.
(CUT to the green hatchling)
Meadow: Are you sure we can do this?
(CUT to the red hatchling)
Fire: Eh, how bad could it be?
(The hatchlings run across an open plane. Behind them, balls of fire explode into the earth. As the others pass him, Cloud slides around and shoots a wave of flames into the heavens. Meanwhile, the others separate, only to find themselves drawn into the fight seconds later. A bolt of lightning hits the ground first, followed shortly by Cotton landing on a figure and Sun racing by her to take down three more).
Sun: *nudges Fire roughly* Dude! Why would you even ask that?
(SCENE CUTS to a forest. An explosion rocks the clearing. All six hatchlings whirl around as a laugh floods the heavens and they quickly fall into formation).
Darkwhisperer (off-screen): *hisses* You may have powers. The Winged Five may call you saviors. But I know what you really are.
(TIME SKIP. Cloud running between buildings, shadow-dragons right behind him).
Cloud: NOW! NOW! NOW!
(Cloud skids to a halt and turns as a bolt of lightning hits the tops of the buildings and sends them crumbling onto his pursuers. He glances up at Meadow as the hatchling appears on the rooftops, adjusting his glasses and beaming proudly).
Darkwhisperer: You're freaks. Outcasts. The universe's last hope. A final upheaval against a dying world.
(Meadow's head shoots up and he grins toothily, adjusting his glasses just so. CUT to Cloud who lets out a bellow as he collides with Coal and the two go crashing to the earth. TIME SKIP to the two of them laughing, resting beside the fire. CUT to Fire who flicks a talon and watches with fear as his entire body ignites into flames. CUT to Sun who smirks at the approaching army and bends down to brace himself for a pounce).
Darkwhisperer: *grabbing a hold of Cloud and yanking him back to hiss in his ear* If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me.
(CUT to a scream as the two plummet from the air. SCENE CUT. Cloud stands in the front and the others gather around him. CUT to a huge army of shadows rising over the hill. CUT back to the team as they brace themselves).
Cloud: All right, gentlemen--
Cotton: And lady.
Cloud: *rolls eyes* And lady. Let's do this.
(The two forces collide and a furious battle erupts).
Darkwhisperer (off screen): You may think you're the Defenders of the Universe, but you're just fools. And, when this war is over, I will emerge as the victor. In the end, it all comes down to one thing...
(Time stands still as Cloud and Darkwhisperer's eyes meet. And then they lunge for each other).
Darkwhisperer: *smiles wickedly* Last. Dragon. Standing.
(TIME SKIP. Darkwhisperer and Cloud circle around from the air, preparing to attack. Both are breathless. Cloud is badly injured but still fighting).
Darkwhisperer: *hisses* You think they'll protect you? Just because you're their leader? A blue dragon. *laughs* You're a monster. Just like the rest of your kind. And sooner or later, your past will catch up with you. How long do you think they'll trust you when they find out the truth?
Cloud: As long as it takes.
(The two collide once more and lightning fills the heavens).
Cloud: *spits, dragging Darkwhisperer into the air to look out at the distant horizon* This is our world now. And we'll fight for as long as it takes to keep it that way.
Darkwhisperer: Who...who are you?
Cloud: *holds up a glowing blue talon, glances back at the hatchlings hovering behind him, grins* We're the Defenders of Dragnaple.
