"So, what did you wish for?" Steven asked Connie. "If I tell you, it won't come true!" Connie smled. "It's nice spending time with you, Steven. It's getting dark, and I probably have to go home now. Bye!" Connie hugged Steven and waved goodbye as she ran home. She thought towmorrow was going to be normal, she thought her wish wouldn't come true......
But it did.

Connie yawned as she got up. She fixed her hair, put on a straw hat, and was wearing her dress. She was putting on a bracelet when...She noticed it. She almost screamed. On both of her hands and right hip was a blue heart shaped gem, a topaz (The one in picture, topaz changes colors sometimes. That's what Connie's gem does, along with weapons and all...). "I'm...a gem?! But how?! When...." She trailed on. Until Connie remembered she wished to be a gem. 'It actually worked?! What will my mother and father say?! What will Steven think?!' She thought. She realized she could cover it up with the hospital like bandages (The ones you wrap around your hands and stuff.) Connie finished wrapping them and put the bandages back. She had to find Steven. She grabbed a toasted Cookies n Cream poptart and ran out the door, leaving a post- it note saying where she was on the kitchen counter. "Steven! Steven, I need to tell you something really important!" Connie shouted. "I have a gem, Steven...." Connie showed him the gem. The Crystal Gems happened to hear her, and saw it too. "Connie! How....How did this happen?!" Pearl freaked out. "I wished on a star yesterday that I could be a gem, and this happened..." Connie said. "That must have been the Ancient Shooting Star! It grants any wish, But only for good people....." Pearl said, suddenly calm. "I don't want it off. I want to go on missions like you guys, I want to be there for Steven, to protect him. I'm always worrying about him...." Connie said sadly. Garnet just smiled calmly. "Alright then. Let's go on your first mission." Garnet said. Connie smiled, excited.
