Love Like You

Stevonnie's eyes widened. ''We are getting stronger? What does that mean?'' She muttered under her breath, hoping Garnet didn't hear anything she was saying.

''Steven...I'm scared.''

''It's alright Connie. We always get through these types of things. Getting stronger is a good sign, right?''
The Steven side of Stevonnie said to Connie.

''I-I guess.....I just...wish you were here, Steven....''

"I am here. We are both here, together. But if you want to unfuse, that's okay-''

''No. It's fine, besides, we'll be a big help to the gems if we are fused.'' Connie said to Steven.

But then Stevonnie noticed they had gotten lost. Garnet was nowhere to be seen, and Stevonnie had no idea where she was.

''Darn it....'' She muttered under her breath.

'I have to be careful, otherwise I'll get caught by the Homeworld gems...' She thought, looking around to make sure no one was near her.

She walked down the hall. The Homeworld ship was shaped like a diamond. But then Stevonnie heard voices.

''Peridot, I'm glad your back with us. Now, will you tell me where Jasper is?''
Stevonnie heard Yellow Diamond's voice. She stifled a laugh, because Yellow Diamond thought she had everything under control.

''Yellow Diamond, Jasper is bubbled back on Earth.'' Peridot said.

''Well, I'm not going back to find her. I never needed her anyways, considering she was weaker than Garnet.'' Yellow Diamond said out loud.

Stevonnie was angered by this, and suddenly felt sorry for Jasper. Jasper was probably one of Homeworld's strongest soldiers, and now Yellow Diamond was just going to leave her on Earth.

Stevonnie summoned her sword and Rose Quartz armor. This time, though, it was the Rose Quartz sword with a lavender handle.

Stevonnie ran towards the homeworld cells, only to see Emerald, Pearl, Amethyst, Aqua, Lapis, and Garnet, standing near the cells as if she was waiting for Stevonnie. Stevonnie slashed the cells with her sword.

''Stevonnie! Your okay!'' Pearl shouted, and the gems gave her a big hug.

But their moment was cut short when Yellow Diamond showed up.

The Crystal Gems summoned their weapons, but Stevonnie put her arm out in front of them.

''No. I'll take her on.'' The gems looked shocked.

Yellow Diamond summoned her sword.

''So, you think you'll beat me?''

''Yes, I do. Pearl told me that in Homeworld, when a gem kills the ruler of Homeworld, that Gem is the new ruler. If I shatter you, I'll become new ruler, which means I can order the Homeworld gems. I could even tell them not to come to Earth.'' Stevonnie slashed Yellow Diamond in the face, catching her off guard. Stevonnie could see she had made a gash in her face, yellow blood coming out of it.

Yellow Diamond then ran towards Stevonnie, but Stevonnie did a jump, landing on the other side of her. She knocked Yellow Diamond's sword out of her hand. She held the sword to Yellow Diamond's neck.

''What are you going to do know? Pretty soon, you'll retreat into your  gem.''

Yellow Diamond looked scared. Stevonnie didn't want to do this either.

She stuck the sword in Yellow Diamond's gem, shattering her gem.

Everyone cheered, even the Homeworld gems.

Steven and Connie were the new rulers of Homeworld, but then passed it on to another Homeworld Gem.
Now the Crystal Gems were living on Earth peacefully..
But there was still one tiny issue.

Steven and Connie were awkward around eachother. But they didn't know why...

Steven had asked Garnet.

''Hey Garnet, what does this mean?''
''It means you've fallen in love with Connie.''

''Hey..um...C-Connie?''

Y-Yes Steven?''

''Do you love me?''

''Y-Yes..'' Connie was blushing.

''I love you too, Connie...''

Connie kissed Steven on the cheek.

Steven and Connie held hands as they stared at the stars, and Steven saw a constellation shaped like his Mom's flag.

'I guess I learned how to love, Mom.'
