"Lord, I seek Your forgiveness and healing."

November 25th, 2012

It was going to be a sunny day, he knew it. A perfect, sunny day when you feel like nothing can go wrong. He ran on the grassy field, laughing, chasing his friends. He felt peaceful, warm, as the golden sun rays illuminated the world around him. The grass tickled his ankles as he ran, the dew on the grass twinkling softly as it caught the early morning sunlight. He breathed in the cool air, feeling calm, even happy. A small, white object caught his eye as he glanced around. A white lily. He bent down to pick it, thinking how much of a wonderful gift it would be for his mom.

As he pulled, the ground groaned and heaved. He watched with widening eyes as the roots, seeming to trail for miles and miles, lifted up while the ground groaned again and started crumbling. The dirt under his feet dropped, plunging him into a dark, cold abyss. His sister's face formed out of the dirt walls. He tried to scream, but no sound came out. He fell silently, until four words rang out, loud and clear:

"Your fault. Your mistake."
